The Hidden Gem (EDITING)

Chapter 1

     Lockie abruptly wakes up to someone banging on the door to her shared room "Lockie get up mum says it's time for breakfast." Ginny says "Okay, okay I'm up." I say yawning but start complaining as I start climbing out of my bed "And stop complaining."Ginny said I quickly look towards the door but find it closed and stick my tongue out in retaliation. 

     After breakfast, I walk out to see my two twin brothers Fred and George discussing something in hushed tones behind the house. They don't see me me approaching them so I hunch down and slowly prepare to grab their legs "BOO!" I yell as I quickly grab their ankles they both jump. I get up and begin to laugh but slowly stop when I notice the looks they are giving me and then I do the only rational thing a girl could do, I run. I look back to see them on my heels and I speed up.

     After a few minutes of them chasing me around the yard I find shelter in the hedge a small space that I hide behind. I crouch down and try to catch my breath but then I see Fred and George searching for me and coming closer to where I'm hiding I hold my breath in hopes that they don't see me or hear me. They stop a few feet away from my spot "Where could she be?" Fred said looking around and trying to catch his breath "I'm standing right next to you Fred, how am I supposed to know?" George said looking at Fred sarcstically. I giggle at my brother's silly interaction "Did you hear that?" George said looking around quickly trying to locate the sound he just heard but he was the closest to the bush "No?" Fred said looking around puzzled"I definitaly heard something." George said wandering around trying to find the sound. They both heard another noise the sound of a broken branch and head toward the direction of that noise. 

    I manage to stay hidden for a few more minutes but then decide to come out because my legs were aching from being crouched for a few minutes. I check my surrounding and then cautiously come out of my hiding place. I don't seen my brothers so I stretch as I feel the blood flow being restored to my legs. I walk towards when suddenly the world turns upside down. "What the-" I shriek "Haha sweet revenge." Fred said laughing "Fred where are you taking me?" I ask as I try to find out where my brother is taking me but can't really make out anything being upside down "I don't know Lockie where am I taking you?" He said in a teasing tone I could practically feel the grin on his face "Hey don't give me that attitude I'm still 15 minutes older than you." I say laughing. Suddenly I'm thrown into the pond next our house I quickly fight to get to the surface of the water I look to side and see my two brothers laughing "How's the water Locks?" George says with a grin "It's quite nice George you should join me." I say laughing "No thanks I'm quite alright from where I am." He says smiling. 

     After I get out I am soaking wet I then go over to my brothers who are laughing at the current state I am in "Ok ok I'm adult enough to admit when I will not win, so truce?" I ask extending my hand for a handshake to Fred "Accepted." He says grinning. I grab his arms then quickly push him into to the pond with all my strength he comes up soaking wet "Ok now I'm done." I say laughing and clutching my stomack from laughing. 

      I spent the rest of the day out and about in the sun with the rest of my siblings my clothes were now dry and my hair was dry to and had formed into small ringlets. Dinner was a happy event  Mom tried out a new recipe she had found. I sneak into the kitchen at 11pm I see the cookies out on the table and grab two. I quietly sneak up the stairs and try to avoid the squeaky step and manage to get into my room. I shut the door and look up to see Ginny reading some book Dad found from some poor muggle gave her, she must have read that book a hundred times maybe more because the spine of the book is worn and Mum has had to fix it with magic twice already and by the looks of it may be a third time soon "Here I think mum baked some cookies so I got us both one." I say walking over to her bed and handing her one "Thanks Lockie." She says looking up from her book and smiling "Your welcome ." I say smiling but look down  at my hands she looks up at me she puts her book and away and then she hugs me as she notices my change in mood "I'm going to miss you." She says hugging me "Me too." I say hugging her back and trying to memorize this moment  "But remember we are-"  "Sisters forever and and friends for life." I say smiling at her "Forever and always." She says smiling at me. We fall asleep not soon after.
