Onto the story

Mackenzie's POV

I'm currently at the Orlandos' house hanging out with my best friend, Lauren. We're both laying on her bed watching Netflix when Johnny suddenly barges in.

"Sorry to barge in, but Kenzie recording starts in 10." Johnny says as he stands in the door. Oh I forgot to tell you I'm also here to record a song with her older brother, Johnny.

"Okay I'll be out in a minute." I tell Johnny while unplugging my phone from the charger and walking over to Lauren's bathroom. Johnny shuts the door and leaves to go to the recording room. (A/N idk if that's a thing) I walk into the bathroom and do my business then walk over to the sink and brush my teeth real quick since I was eating chips a few minutes ago. When I'm done I walk out of the bathroom and tell Lauren I'll be back in a couple hours then go to the recording room.

As soon as I walk into the room Johnny's already sitting in the booth warming his voice up so I grab my water and go sit next to him in there.

"What's up Ziegler?" Johnny asks, I don't know why, but every time he calls me that I feel myself blush a little. But no I do not like him.

"Nothing much, do you think the song is going to be good?" I ask and he smiles.

"Oh it's definitely going to be a huge hit." He tells me right before we're told it's time to start recording. We put our headphones on and I look over at Johnny, he's full of enthusiasm and has the biggest smile I've ever seen, I smile a bit then turn my head before he catches my gaze. Today we're recording our song Day and Night and next week we're going to go shoot the video for it. The camera turns on so Johnny and I look at it. (A/N I'm copying some of Kenzie's YT video from recording)

Johnny= J Mackenzie= M

M: Hey guys it's Kenzie and I'm with

J: Johnny

M: And today we are recording our new song called Day and Night. So here's a little sneak peek.

(A/N I'm just gonna have them singing the song cause that's a lot of work to copy everything tbh)

I hear the music start to play and look over at Johnny as he starts to sing..

J: Chillin' with you spendin' some time girl there is nothing better. Whatever we do it'll be fine it don't matter the weather. Hit up the mall right after school meet you outside at 3. Go see a movie, buy something cool. As long as you're here with me.

M: But I know, I know when we're far apart it doesn't change a thing at all. Yes I know, I know that you're here in my heart. You're here to catch me if I fall, ohhh

J: When you close your eyes know that I'll be there with you.

M: When you're happy inside, know that I feel it too.

J: When you're caught in a tide, know that I'm here to save you.

M: All day and night. You know me better than anyone else, you know how I feel. No I can't imagine us not being friend just keeping it real. When you're not around and you're out of town you can still call me up on the phone. Yeah you make me laugh when I'm feeling bad that means I'm never alone.

J: But I know, I know, when you're far away I never feel quite like myself. Yes I know, I know it'll all be okay as long as we still have each other I don't need nobody else. When you close your eyes know that I'll be there with you.

J: When you're caught in a tide, know that I'm here to save you.

I look over to Johnny and see that he was already looking at me, we smile and stand up from our stools. Johnny walks over to me and gives me a big hug, which startled me at first, but I hugged him back. The hug lasted almost a whole minute and I don't know why but it just felt right.

"Hey how about you go get Lauren and we all go out to Starbucks on me." Johnny says to me, I mean I can't pass up free Starbucks.

"You sure? I brought money with me." I try to tell him. He looks me straight in the eyes,

"No. I'm paying." Is all he says, I laugh a little and go get Lauren.

When I go up to Lauren's room I see her playing on her phone so I walk in,

"Hey Johnny offered Starbucks, on him." I tell her, I see her start to smile as she gets up and fixes her hair. I walk downstairs and see Johnny waiting for us.

"Good job today Orlando." I tell him, calling each other by our last names is kinda our thing.

"Back at you Ziegler, I'm so glad I chose to do this duet with you." He says, I feel my cheeks heat up a little. I can't like him, no I don't like him, I tell myself.

"Who can't you like?" Johnny questions me.. Shit

"Oh just this guy I know.. yeah." I try to convince myself. He gives me a funny look, but shakes it off. I pull my phone out of my pocket and sit on the couch as we wait for Lauren to come down stairs. Suddenly I feel someone sit right next to me, I look over and see that it's just Johnny. About 10 minutes later Lauren finally comes downstairs all ready to go. Johnny and I get up from the couch and head out the door so we can walk to Starbucks since it's not that far from their house.

As we are standing in line to order our drinks, out of nowhere Johnny's ex girlfriend, Nadia, shows up and starts to walk over to us. I look at Nadia then at Johnny and see him change from his overly happy self to his pissed off self. Then suddenly Johnny interlocks our hands to make it look like we're a couple.

"Hey babe." Nadia says as she gets closer to Johnny.

"We broke up over 2 months ago Nadia, leave me alone, I have a new girlfriend that I actually love." He says referring to me even though we're not really dating. I blush a little just at the though of getting to date Johnny. NOoooo I can't like him that's not even possible right? I say in my head so no one hears it but me.

"Whatever I don't believe you, it's Mackenzie for pete's sake." She says rolling her eyes, ouch that hurt a little.

"If we weren't dating then would I do this?" Johnny says then crashes his lips into mine at first I'm a bit startled but I quickly melt into the kiss, it lasted a good.. I mean great.. 10 seconds. Johnny pulls away blushing a lot and smiles big at me and I smile back at him as I'm obviously blushing a lot more than him. Lauren gives me a look that pretty much says "we're talking about this later" I nod my head at her. That was MY FIRST KISS and it was with my best friend's brother! Who woulda thought. Nadia storms out of the building making Johnny sigh in relief.

We get to the front of the line, order our coffee, and go sit at a table near the window. There's an awkward silence for a good 5 minutes until one of Johnny's friends walk over to our table.

"Hey Johnny, Lauren, and Kenzie." He says sitting in the empty seat across from Lauren. I see Lauren blushing a little, this must be the guy she was telling me about...

A/N Okay so I was getting bored of writing my Cowan story even though I only wrote 6 chapters for it but I'm going to try my best to keep up with this story cause I've really started to ship Jenzie so lets see how this goes
