The two of them ordered coffee, sitting down and taking in the sweet aroma of coffee and chocolate. Harley smiled at Mariah, enjoying the others presence. Harley had been having a bad day, and going out for coffee with her girlfriend was already making it better. Sure, it was a part of their usual after school routine, but they got a chance to spend it alone for once. All of their friends who were usually with them had gone to a party, but they weren't really the partying type. The pair preferred to laze around and binge watch TV or sit on their phones. Their coffee is brought to them rather quickly, most likely because 4 o'clock in the afternoon isn't exactly a busy time for any coffee shop, much less a small, local one. They both began sipping on their coffees, casually talking about nothing in particular. A faint jingling of a bell echoed through the shop, signaling a new customer walking through the fogged-over clear glass doors. The man walked up to the front counter, towering over the cashier by almost a foot. He probably stood at about 6'5", with a little longer than chin-length brown hair. He had a dark stubble peppering his sharp but also gentle and kind features. He shot the woman behind the register a polite and involuntarily charming smile. After ordering his coffee, he sat at the table next to the two girls, lazily drawing patterns in the fogged over window. Harley glanced over, immediately recognizing the gentle giant, her face instantaneously turning a bright crimson. She turned back towards Mariah, attempting to physically shake away the blush that had formed on her face. "Babe, look who it is." She whispered excitedly, nodding her head towards the man. Mariah looked over, tilting her head in confusion. "Do you not recognize him?" Mariah shook her head, embarrassed that she in fact did not. She also kind of felt bad for not knowing this person who her girlfriend obviously deeply cared about. "Dude it's Jared Padalecki." Harley explained, slightly frustrated that her girlfriend didn't know who he was. A look of realization dawned on Mariah's face, her mouth changing to an 'O' shape.  Jared Padalecki was Harley's favorite person in the whole world, just barely tying with her girlfriend. "Do you mind if I go talk to him?" Harley asked, making sure Mariah was okay with it. Mariah nodded, not wanting to keep Harley from meeting her idol. Silently cursing the butterflies that were making a home in her stomach, Harley got out of the chair and shuffled over to Jared nervously, tears of joy welling in her eyes. "H-Hi," she stuttered, grabbing Jared's attention, "I'm a-a big f-fan." Harley tried with all her might not to cry, but the grin he gave her sent the avalanche of tears tumbling down her face. "Well, I'm assuming you know my name then. What's yours?" He said kindly, gesturing for Harley to sit in the seat opposite him. "Oh, um...Harley?" She nearly whispered, the fact coming out more as a question than she wanted it to. Instead of saying anything else and embarrassing herself even further, she sat down and took almost alarmingly deep breaths, making a valiant effort to get her emotions back under control. She sucked in one last deep breath, and began speaking in a much more normal tone. "Sorry to bother you, it's just.. I can't afford to go to a convention, so this might've been my only chance to meet you, 'm sorry..." She trailed, extremely worried that she'd say or do something wrong. "Oh it's fine, I was feeling kind of lonely anyways, Jensen's busy." He assured her, watching her wipe her tear-stained cheeks. He felt bad honestly, she obviously had anxiety issues, and he could see the extremely faint scars that littered her arms. Even so, she was really adorable. She had this adorably chubby face, a cute little nose, really pretty emerald green eyes, and shiny, chin-length, curly, fire-engine red hair. Yeah, she was a fangirl, but she seemed to treat Jared more like a human being rather than a God and had a lot more self control than any other fangirl he'd met. "So what are you guys in town for?" Harley questioned, looking at Jared curiously. Her voice was still noticeably shaky, but her breathing had regained its normalcy. "Oh, Jen has some friends here that he's visiting, and he dragged me along. They went out drinking and I'm not really the 'It's 5 o'clock somewhere' type." He replied, chuckling and shooting Harley one of his signature sweet smiles. God, his laugh. His laugh was the type of laugh that made your heart skip a beat, even if you didn't bat for his team. It was the kind that came from somewhere deep in his chest and went straight through you. The kind that was hard to forget, even if you only overheard it. Harley shyly grinned back, hearing the feet of a chair scrape across the hardwood floor of the small café. She turned towards the harsh sound, her eyes locking onto Mariah she approached the table. "Baby, I'm gonna go home and study, text me when you get home." Mariah said, placing her hand on Harley's shoulder and kissing the top of her head. "Okay, I will, I love you." Harley replied, tilting her head up and pecking Mariah's lips. "I love you too." Mariah smiled and walked out the door, the bell jingling once again. Harley turned back to Jared with a smile plastered on her face, quickly noticing the strange look on his face. "What's wrong?" She asked softly, the smile melting from her face as it twisted into a look of confusion and concern. "Oh nothing, it's just.. I didn't think you were..." He trailed off, not wanting to assume anything. "Bisexual?" She finished, the confusion and concern fading away as quickly as it had arrived. Jared nodded, shifting awkwardly in his seat. "It's fine, a lot of people don't really get that vibe from me." She chuckled, trying to remove the sudden tension that had filled the air. Harley was becoming a bit more comfortable now, realizing that Jared got embarrassed over things too. Jared let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding, relaxing in his seat, happy he didn't screw everything up like he tended to do. He honestly didn't have the best track record with making friends outside the cast of Supernatural. Yeah, he got along with the cast really well, but that was mostly because he worked with them and was with them all the time. He tended to get really busy and just not have time to hang out with new people anymore. Jared looked down at his watch, realizing what time it was. "Oh shit. Harley, I'm really sorry, but I gotta go." He said, looking back up to the girl, his green-yellow-brown eyes locking with her emerald green ones. "You think I could get your number and we could maybe.. I dunno.. hangout sometime?" He set his hand on the pocket of his jeans, ready to get his phone out. "Oh yeah, sure, why not." Harley replied, trying not to let her excitement show in her voice. She was about to give Jared-motherfucking-Padalecki her number, who wouldn't be excited? Jared swiftly dug his phone out of his pocket and unlocked it, opening a new contact and passing it over to Harley. She typed her name and number in, handing Jared his phone back within seconds. "You can text or call whenever, my winter break starts in three days, so, yeah."  She said, suddenly getting very self-conscious towards the end, bringing her hand up to scratch the back of her neck nervously. "Okay, I'll be sure to text you soon, I want to get to know you better." Jared replied, grinning widely, scooting his chair out and standing up, holding his arms out for a hug. It was pretty obvious that she wanted one, but was too shy and awkward to ask for it. Harley immediately got up as well, wrapping Jared in a tight embrace, burying her face in his chest to hide the tears that were welling in her eyes once again. Before letting go, she blinked the tears away, not wanting to show her current lack of emotional self-control. When they pulled apart, Jared smiled and began walking away backwards, never turning away from Harley. As he turned away, he slammed face first into the closed doors, leaving an imprint of his nose on the fogged up glass. His face immediately flushed red, and rubbing his nose, he pushed the door open and walked down the street and away from Harley who was giggling madly. Harley walked back to her original table, downing the last of her cold, temporarily forgotten about coffee. She grabbed her bag, tossing some money on the table and waving to the cashier as she walked out and walked in the opposite direction down the busy street that Jared had.
