They watched from afar, as they saw her. The young girl, about thirteen, was standing in the middle of the road as the car turned to that street.
He was half asleep..
He didn't notice..
The girl stood there, as if she wanted this to happen.
It seemed she did. She was doing it. By standing in the middle of the road, waiting..
Waiting..
Waiting...
Waiting....
Waiting.....
It seemed so silly, that she was
waiting.
It seemed so silly that she was
Letting
Her life
Disappear from..
Existence.
Yet they wouldn't allow it.
They
Will
Not
Allow
It.
CRASH! The young teen fell to the ground, limp, bleeding at a horrendous rate.
A boy in the back of the car awoke to the sudden thud, gasping as he saw the girl.
He jumped out of the car with his phone, dialing 911 as he shook her. The ambulance came, and the man awoke. He felt so terribly sorry, he paid for the medical bill.
A few days later... The young girl awoke from her coma. The small child was sound asleep by her hospital bed.
Beep...Beep....Beep..
There was an abundance of equipment. The boy awoke, and looked over at the girl, running over and hugging her.
"Miss, are you okay?" He asked, looking up at her with his golden, worried eyes.
"Yes.. I'm fine. Where am I?" she asked. He furrowed his brow.
"You're in your hospital room.. You got hit by my daddy's car, and I called 911." He said, still worried.
"Also, my name is Parker... What's yours?" the girl asked, lightly brushing her fingertips over the young boy's raven-black wolf ears.
He smiled. "My name is Zero, miss.."
A couple of days later, the boy Zero was sitting by the bed, worriedly waiting for the doctors to come and notify him. Parker had needed surgery for her broken arm, and the car had torn open her side.
The doctors came in, looking a bit sad and worried. Zero jumped up, smiling. "Did she make it, Dr. Watson?"
Dr. Watson shook his head sadly. "No... She didn't make it." he said.
Zero was so upset, and he ran away, away from the hospital. He was screaming, "Why?! Why?!" through his tears. Even if he couldn't have done anything to save her, or stop the car, he felt guilty for her death. He didn't even know her.
That night, he slept in the woods of Mystical Falls, Oregon. Zero heard whispers of, "Why are you out here?" He woke from the noises, looking around, when he saw the faint glimmer of a ghost in the moonlight.
Zero was terribly frightened. He was only 7, after all. When he looked closer, it looked like Parker. He attempted hugging her, yet he fell through.
He started tearing up. "But.. you're dead. They told me... Then you're a ghost!" He cried out, stumbling backward in newfound fear.
He started running, not looking back at her.
~One year later
"I finally found a way to keep her in this world." They muttered. They swiped their hand across their palm, revealing an orb that they had summoned into this universe.
Then they slid a knife across their left palm, letting the blood drip onto the orb, which absorbed the scarlet drops.
They muttered a spell that would make this story come true.
The orb slowly turned white, despite the blood it absorbed. It slowly started floating up into the clouds, as they turned to the reader. They seemed to be one of the authors,Kamryn.
"Enjoy the story, reader. I hope you're interesting in what's to come. Read on if you wish to continue." They smiled.
They came in, and grinned.
"Welcome to the show."
