3rd person POV

Angrily she stomped down the long, musty hallway stirring up dust from the floor. The air was thick with moisture and smelled of rotting flesh. She passed by countless cells holding an assortment of prisoners awaiting their death. Some were labeled as traitors to the First Order, others were suspected of having confidential information in their possession. She stormed out the door and into the main hangar. There, her master was awaiting her presence. In an altered, robotic voice he addresses her:

"You're late; and you expect me to listen to what you have to say?"

She barks back at him "I do considering that you sent me off on some sick mission to slaughter innocent people."

"They are not innocent. They are traitors to the First Order."

"There is no evidence!"

At that Kylo Ren knocked her off of her feet and to the ground, where he faced her:

"If you so much as think that your so bold I'll get myself a more.. virtuous apprentice."

With that she was shoved to her feet and dragged along the same dark hallway she was just in. She grimaced at the sound of prisoners groaning for food or first aid. They stared in vexation at Kylo Ren as they walked by. A couple of them shot looks at the girl, hoping she would help them. In her free time, she would sneak into the prison and bring portions for the prisoners.

"Do you see all of this?" asked Kylo Ren, who was striding down the hallway, forcing her to catch up. She took a moment to observe the condition that the prison was in.

"Yes, it's awful. Why do you ask?"

Kylo Ren swung around to face her and eerily leaned in closer so that he was inches away from her face.

"Get used to it."

"What?"

With a swift movement of his hand, she was thrust against a cell wall and the heavy metal door was closed behind her. She quickly gathered herself and ran towards the bars of the cell, her eyes pleading for an explanation on how she deserved this.

"I refuse to have an apprentice that won't obey the Supreme Leader's orders."

With that he strode down the hallway and out of sight. The girl was trying to comprehend what had just happened. She was in the second cell, set for extermination by the next standard day. It appeared that in Kylo Ren's anger, he forgot to take her lightsaber. Lucky her. Even though she could easily break the door open, there were several guards waiting outside each cell and would easily outnumber her. Even if she got through them, the officers and Kylo Ren would have been notified, leaving her dead either way. So, she scanned the room to try and find another exit. The cell was dark, and there was a strange liquid dripping from the ceiling. she had a stiff, soggy mattress with a blanket that reeked of whatever prisoner previously occupied the cell. Looking up she saw a vent just big enough to squeeze through, but it was screwed tightly shut.

I can unscrew them with the force she thought.

Doing this she leapt up into the vent but then paused. She heard a soft beeping noise from the cell next to hers. I didn't think they kept droids here..

She jumped back down and peered through the bars between her cell and the droid's. Every two cells had viewing windows into the neighboring cell. It was a small orange and white droid with a circular body, and it was whining miserably. She couldn't just leave it there. Thinking, the girl realized that she would need some way to get off of the base. She whispered to the droid "Hey.. I can get you out of here.. but you need to help me fly a ship." The droid perked up and squeaked with pleasure. "SH! They might hear us you have to stay silent. The droid obeyed and she carefully pulled out her lightsaber and started removing bars, until there was a hole just big enough for the droid to fit through. she hoisted the droid up into the vent and then followed, closing the vent behind them. They had to make it through a maze of vents and rooms before they found a small hangar, in which there was a small, stolen resistance x-wing. They lowered themselves into the hangar and crept over to the x-wing.

"Listen.. when we get into that thing I have some clearance codes we can use. Just get us up into the air." The droid beeped in agreement and rolled under the entrance to the droid pit.

There were perks to being Kylo Ren's apprentice. She had access to the main database, which let her receive permission to release a ship, (If she tweaked the information of course)

Once the the droid was set in the droid pit, she snuck into the cockpit and started up the engine. She altered the database to grant permissions to the x-wing and the droid started the take-off sequence. She used to play around on her code replicator constantly, which taught her how to forge authentic looking manifests. No one ever really kept a keen eye on her, which is why she was able to learn on her own time. Even then, she never had the chance to learn how to fly. So, she sat back while the droid enabled autopilot. She was tense as the ship took flight, but her codes were correct and issued no problems as they took off. Once in hyperspace, the girl plotted the coordinates of their destination. She stared into the swirling galaxy around her as she got farther and farther away from the planet she knew so well. This girl has always been on an Unknown planet; one that the First Order used for secretive storage and prisons. Even so, the surface of the planet was a lush forest, in which she had spent many hours in. A curious beep from the droid pulled her out of her thoughts and back to the situation at hand. She knew she couldn't go back to her master, so she picked a laid back planet far from the reaches of the First Order.

"We are going to Bespin, hopefully to get a hold of a clean ship since the First Order has little presence there. I'm not sure where to go after that."

The droid beeped in reply and started rambling about a planet that it needed to get to.

" Okay, we'll talk about the planet later. What's your name, anyway?"

The droid introduced itself as BB-8. Odd she thought that sounds awfully familiar. She brushed off the thought. From there, they traveled in silence until reaching Bespin's atmosphere.

They had escaped from the base easily, in fact it was so easy that it was almost suspicious...

A/N: Hello, I know this sucks and all but if you by chance read this and have any recommendations for the future of this story (specifically romances, friendships, enemies, etc.) I would be glad to take them. The next chapter will most likely be in first person (or second person I guess). May the Force be with you! ~Jayd :)
