Dash then watches as Kyle and Sagittarius scold Marlene, and he was softly chuckling.

Somehow this was amusing to him—but at the same time, it was nice having people to hang around.

Because of his punishment to roam the earth as a demon slayer due to his birth and the constant moving around without settling down because people kept discovering who he really was and rejected him for that; Dash never really had the chance to make some friends who loved him for who he was.

Hell, he was even surprised with the team randomly showing up at his door at three in the morning just because they wanted to hang out with him.

How was he worthy of having people he only knew for a week or so care deeply for him?

It wasn't because of his charismatic personality or anything, really. It was because they genuinely saw him as family, someone who they would run towards the ends of the earth for.

The devotion they had was strange, but he somewhat loved that.

Dash then felt his cheeks burn a bright red at his deep thinking, and he sighs, leaning on Joshua who had squeaked at the sudden movement.

"You okay, Dash?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Dash was softly grinning up at him, before he turned back to Marlene who was having a full on argument with Kyle about food.

"But can we tell them to stop fighting? It'll wake the neighbours up and I doubt they would be happy with a bunch of screaming teenagers who are awake at this hour."

Kyle sighs as Marlene and Peter began pestering Dash with more questions while they headed to the training facility.

Christina had messaged them to meet her there as she believed there was some unusual activity happening nearby and it would risk the discovery of their training facility.

So they had to keep an eye out.

"Firis's followers still could be around," Dash would say as they gathered in the meeting area of the facility, "although she's dead, there was someone else she was in contact with. I don't know their name or anything but I felt a powerful demonic presence within them."

"So there could be someone else in the higher ranks?"

"Not exactly. All I know is that they're not related to the whole angel and demon mess. What I'm guessing is that someone who could possibly be a celestial being is involved."

There was a shift of tone in Dash's voice.

"But I suggest that we should worry about Firis's followers first—and like what you guys said, we should keep hidden. Our presence shouldn't be noticed by the public or by the people who Firis has been contacting."

Christina glanced over and placed a hand on the table in front of her, looking at each of them.

"We should split up into two groups."

She used her telekinesis to explain to them what the plan was in the form of floating pencils and an empty bucket.

"One group will guard the entrance to the facility, while another will walk around the perimeter and see if any of Firis's followers are around."
