"I mean... I was forced to drink demon blood because of my estranged grandparents and I have shadow powers, so I can go, right?"

He repeats and Dash nods slowly, lifting his hands and opening up a portal to Mid-Nowhere. He walks over to the portal and turns to Joshua, extending his hand.

Joshua blinked and hesitates for a second before fully grabbing onto Dash's hand and they went through the portal which proceeded to close behind them.

"I don't know why, but this looks like something out of a romantic fantasy book."

Peter says whilst staring and Marlene slowly nods in agreement.

"Was it necessary for them to hold hands to go through a portal? Because whenever we go through portals with Sagi, we don't hold hands."

"It's because they like each other, Mar."

Kyle says and Marlene smiles.

"That's adorable."

Joshua could hear their conversation just as he and Dash arrived at Mid-Nowhere, immediately noticing the sudden drop of temperature.

"Shit, it's cold..."

He shivers as he started to follow Dash down one of the many corridors Mid-Nowhere, unconsciously still holding onto his hand.

Joshua then felt Dash stop walking and take a quick look around before turning back to him.

"Take these." Dash hands him his jacket and a blade that shone with a purple glow, and Joshua slips on Dash's jacket with a red face, clutching onto the dagger.

After standing around, he looks at Dash.

"Did you give me your number? Because I don't remember if you did."

"I left a slip of paper in your locker," Dash says and he raises a brow, "don't tell me you lost it...?"

He pretended to look disappointed before he takes Joshua's phone and types his number in, and Joshua takes his phone back after giving Dash his number.

"I was just too nervous about adding your number and randomly calling you when you could be busy or whatever..."

Joshua mumbled with a red face as he and Dash started to walk down the corridor, armed with their blades as they prepared to face whatever was waiting for them on the other side.

Alessa had woken up and found herself in a dark, cold place. It appeared that she was surrounded by foliage and she couldn't see much because of a dense fog.

Holding her head, she walks up the foliage and smacks into a force field which releases electricity and shocks her and she is thrown back.

"What in the hell?"

She breathes hard and fast, getting up from the ground as she examines the force field, watching sparks fly off of its surface.

"At least I'm not wearing my gauntlets..."

Alessa then went to sit on the ground after setting her jacket underneath her so she could have something comfortable to sit on.
