"You need to walk to your bus stop tomorrow again, so you need your rest." My mother said as she tucked me to bed.
"But Mom it's so dark and cold and I feel so lonely! I don't want to walk." I said in my pouting voice nearly to tears.
I hated getting wet and cold and feeling so alone. My mom looked at me in an understanding way.
"Here...Wait a second." My mother replied to me sighing. She left the room and came back with an Umbrella.
"Rain, whenever you want company, whenever your cold and whenever it rains, you open this Umbrella. You put it over your head, and two friends will appear, magically. One by your side and one over your shoulders.
In order for them to really appear you have to be calm, and believe. " She said giving me the Umbrella.
" Promise me you'll believe Rain. "
I nodded and pinky promised. That night I slept with the Umbrella so excited to use it in the morning.
Later that night, my mother died with a car accident.
Me and my new friends cried together all night, in the rainy graveyard, of my mothers funeral.
