As soon as I stepped off the plane in North Carolina, I felt an instant feeling of regret. I should've just stayed at home this summer. I should've stayed in LA instead, but I really wanted to get away from the craziness of the city and be back at home in the country with my mum. Plus I could build my photography portfolio with some nature pictures.

Once I managed to get a cab and told the driver where I needed to go, I put my headphones in, my favourite song came on, 'Now or Never by Outasight. This was going to be a long drive, I'm glad I dressed comfy. I had my Adidas leggings on and a grey jumper. I paired them with my pink Adidas trainers and left my newly dyed pink hair loose. I decided to go on instagram and started scrolling through the North Carolina tag, to see if I could find some cool places to take pictures near by. I found some cool places near my mums' house but another photo caught my attention.

I recognised his name but I couldn't remember where I knew it from. Something about him drew me in and made me want to know more about him. Also, he was from NC hopefully, I could 'bump' into him. Before I had a chance to stalk his page, the cab came to a stop and I notice we had stopped at the top of my mum's road. Great, I'm going to have to carry all my luggage down the road, and I hadn't exactly packed light. I had one large suitcase, a carry all and my normal handbag. I gave the cab driver the money and told him to keep the change.

I started the walk to my mum's house, struggling with every step. "Urgh, the one time I pack way too much and I have to walk!" I said out loud to myself. I stopped walking trying to balance everything up again to make the walk easier. "Hey, do you need a hand with those?" a husky voice said from behind me. I turned around and couldn't believe my eyes, it was the boy from the Instagram picture. Oh, he was even more attractive in person. "It's not every day you get called attractive in the middle of the street" he laughed.

"Crap! Did I say that out loud?" He didn't say anything he just nodded his head and laughed. I could feel my cheeks getting redder by the minute. "Hiya, I'm Hazel. Sorry about that, it's just that I saw a picture of you on Instagram earlier, and now here you are offering to help me with my luggage. By the way, some help would be great." He grabbed my suitcase and my carry all. He kept looking at me like he expected me to do something. "Why do I feel like I recognise you from somewhere? Your face and name seem really familiar but I just cannot place you."

"Wait you don't know who I am?" he said and I sensed like he was relieved. I shook my head. "Oh right, that's good to know. Also, where are you heading I forgot to ask before?"

"Why? Should I know you?" I was so confused. "My mum lives on this street, at number 7 if you know which one that is?

"Number 7 yeah I know where that is, I live down the lane just past your house. And no there's nothing special about me, but feel free to message me on Instagram, once you've stalked me and my name." He laughed to himself and then smiled at me. God, he was good looking. He's got that boy next door look about him. "Here we are number 7 as requested. Hopefully, I'll see you soon Hazel", he left my luggage at the gate and started to walk down the lane, presumably to his house.

After I had a reunion with my mum, I told I was going to go get settled in my room. I realised that my mum kept my room exactly the same as it was when I left.

I tried to unpack but my mind was elsewhere. I went onto Instagram and search for his name @HayesGrier. I scroll through his picture and see some with the tag 'magcon'. "OMG! I know why I know him." I ran out the door and down the stairs and told my mum that I would back later. I had to go talk to him about it and make sure I wasn't crazy. I walked down his lane and came to a beautiful farm. This must be his house because there isn't anything else. I walked up onto the porch and knocked on the door.

After a short wait, the door opened and revealed a woman. "Hello, can I help ya'll?" she said sweetly.
"Erm, yeah I'm Hazel is Hayes home? I'm new to the area and Hayes is the only person I've met so far." She smiled at me and then opened the door wider. "Why don't you come in and we can go find him, I think they're down at the track."
"The track?" I ask whilst admiring the house.
"Yeah we have a dirt bike track at the back and that's where you'll find Hayes 90% of the time" she laughed and I joined in. "I'm Elizabeth by the way. Skylynn come downstairs we're going to the track to get Hayes". Within seconds and small girl with blonde hair appeared at the bottom of the stairs. "Skylynn, this is Hazel she new to the area. Say hello?" She smiled in my direction and then stepped towards me. "Hi I'm Skylynn and I'm Hayes' little sister.
After Elizabeth and Skylynn got themselves sorted, we began the walk to the track and let me just say their land was huge. It seemed to go on forever.
After about 10 minutes of walking I noticed a bike hanging above an entrance which I presumed was to the track. "Johnnie and Hayes have been fixing this place up all week, and it looks like they finally got the entrance sorted." She chuckled to herself as a man walked up to us. "Johnnie, where's Hayes?" Skylynn jumped up into his arms. "He's just over the hill, setting up some markers for when the diggers get here tomorrow." He looked at me with a confused look on his face and then he looked at Elizabeth. "Oh Johnnie, this is Hazel she just got here from LA this morning and Hayes was the first person she met, isn't that nice?" He smiled at me and then held out his hand for me to shake. "Hi Hazel nice to meet you, I'm Johnnie Hayes' stepdad. He's just over there, you can head over to him."
I walked over in the direction of where Johnnie said Hayes was. As soon as I got to the top of the hill I noticed him. "Why didn't you just tell me who you were, I literally remembered once I got home".
