"I'll keep an eye on this guy. For now, I need you all to follow an individual who has no relation to the guy Peter is going after. I'll need you all to apprehend them and bring them here and go back to the auditorium and have a good time—and I'll deal with them so we don't have to worry about that."

But the expression on her face was far more serious than usual.

"And they're very skilled with magic and psionic abilities, so you'll all have to be careful," she says, opening up her duffle bag and reaching inside, fishing out Alessa's gauntlets and some wrist bands, "and you'll have to be sharp, Kyle. They'll be a tough match for you. So use this opportunity to expand on your powers."

Sagittarius sees Kyle visibly pale before taking a wristband from Christina.

The wristbands appeared to be a communication device. Christina briefly explained that she and Alessa had been working on them for a while when Alessa had brought up the fact that Kyle was still developing his mind-linking abilities.

The wristbands would act as a strength enhancer and as a synthetic telepathic messenger—so those on the team who couldn't properly adjust to Kyle's mind-linking abilities, end up using the synthetic messenger.

"We'll test these out and tell you if they need any improvements."

Joshua says and Christina nodded, before dismissing them and the team had went on their way.

Sagittarius used her portalling powers to transport them to where Christina said a vision had told her where the guy they had to track down would be.

The area they had arrived at was barren and abandoned. Just the mere silence alone sent shivers down Sagittarius's spine as they cautiously started to walk.

"If any of you start freaking out on me and acting like ghosts just to see if I'll piss myself out of fright, I'm either gonna hold your hand or carry you for the rest of the mission with my shadow."

"But only Lessa can hold my hand..."

And Sagittarius sees Joshua turn to Kyle, lifting a brow.

"I don't care if you're dating my sister. That's no excuse for fooling around when some potential asshole who has a higher power level than you can probably kill us."

Joshua wasn't amused at all, and Sagittarius glanced around before she started freaking out, not feeling Marlene or Alessa's presence as she usually would.

"Uh... Josh, we're missing a pair."

She would say and Joshua sighs, giving a shake of his head before they started to run—using Kyle's mind tracking ability to find out where they were and they ended up at a clearing.

There was a woman standing there, hands raised and trained on what appeared to be a bubble floating in the air.

And Marlene and Alessa were inside.

Marlene was eating whatever food she had in her purse in her star cloaked form, while Alessa was furiously punching at the bubble's surface, trying to break it until she was shocked by her gauntlets and she sat there, dazed with a look on her face which screams; 'We fucked up guys, hurry up'.
