"Will you actually be my girlfriend, though?"

Sagittarius asked, lifting a brow. She looked really pretty underneath the plethora of fairy lights—Marlene swore she probably looked like one of those beautiful mythological creatures, sirens or whatever they were called?

Jesus Christ, I'm gay. I ALREADY KNEW THAT BUT SHE'S REAFFIRMING THAT FOR ME!

Marlene thought as she scoots in a little close, shoulder to shoulder with Sagittarius.

"And don't say yes just because I'm stopping you from stealing our food."

Sagittarius's words interrupted Marlene's thought process and she turns to her, immediately placing an arm around her shoulders.

Marlene pondered for a moment. Why did she crush on Sagittarius again? Because she's pretty and amazing and her powers are amazing too. And because she also makes up as a good snuggle buddy.

She hesitates for a moment, just as nervous as Sagittarius was because of the whole 'I want us to be in a relationship together' thingy.

Marlene wasn't sure if she would be able to go through with this. But she wanted Sagittarius—she was crushing on and liked her with such passion and fondness, that she would do just about anything to be with her.

"I'm saying yes to the whole girlfriend thing because I really like you," she starts, knowing the fridge emptying incident and the date from yesterday had drawn her to Sagittarius, "and if it you know, means the possible scenario of spending the rest of my life with a portal creating girl who I'm deeply in love with, then yes."

Marlene squeezes her eyes shut, leans in and presses her lips against Sagittarius's own, momentarily blocking out the noise from the people around them and the music blaring.

The kiss was quick and soft, but it sent shivers across her body as she pulls back, noticing Sagittarius stare at her with widening eyes.

It seemed she looked a little dazed yet happy as they then awkwardly sat there, holding hands, with goofy smiles on their lips.

Marlene then sees Peter walk in, looking very overwhelmed and anxious as he goes up to Liz and they talk for a little while.

And Peter runs out of the auditorium, looking rather troubled as Liz watches on, upset by what he had told her just before leaving.

"Sagi, Pete left!"

"Wait what?"

Sagittarius snapped out of her daze as Marlene grabbed her hand and ran over to Joshua, grabbing him by the arm and dragging him away to a corner of the auditorium.

"What? I was having a good time."

Joshua didn't look too happy with Marlene snatching him from his date whilst they were in the middle of having a pleasant conversation.

"Peter ran out. He looked very troubled."

Marlene found herself talking so quickly that Joshua had to calm her down and hand her some sugar cookies.

"Slow down, Mar. Peter's here? But he ran off and he looked troubled?"

"Something like that." Marlene says while Joshua grabs his phone, immediately calling up Kyle who didn't pick up.
