"Haircut Beth. You need a haircut," she firmly spoke, her index finger tapping her chin as she scanned Beth's body from top to bottom. "Why would a haircut be necassary Bianca?" Beth groaned, spinning around in her chair. "Erm, hello? You're going to college Bethers -" "Beth." "Yes of course, Beth. Anyways, you're off to college, meaning that you'll get new friends, a roomate and a social life." A social life was exactly what Beth needed. All her life she was only to be found in her room, huddled up in a corner with oreos and milk, staring into the screen of the laptop as her fingers danced around the keyboard. So you can say that she is pretty much anti-social. The only 'normal' conversations she had was with either Bianca or her bestfriend from High School, Justine.

"I'll just go ahead with this," Beth replied calmly switching her gaze back to her laptop screen. "That? Oh please Beth. You are not going anywhere near the campus with... that," Bianca argued as she plopped down onto her bed. "Well, what do you know about college?" "Everything Bethany. I just graduated and right now, I'm just trying to save your sorry ass from getting picked on by those popular kids," Bianca sighed, "you're leaving for college in 3 days, at least change something!" Beth sighed in defeat and spun around to face her sister. "Alright, I'll promise you this just one thing. I'll make friends. Now please don't nag at me for my hair," she stated. "Deal then," Bianca widely grinned, walking out of their room.

3 days passed and Beth has arrived at the campus. "Today's finally here," Beth smiled at her parents as she unbuckled her seatbelt. "Our baby is all growned up!" cried her dad. Supposingly, her mum should be the emotional one but in Beth's case, it was her dad. "Dad, please don't start bawling," Beth pleaded as she unloaded her luggage out of the trunk. "Sorry kiddo, it was hard seeing your sister go and it's harder to see you," he laughed, smiling widely as the wrinkles appeared at the corners of his eyes. "Don't do anything stupid honey. We love you!" her mum shouted out loud as her dad drove off and disappeared in the distance. Beth inhaled deeply and turned away from the road and to the large stone arch behind her.

The metal fences had fern spiraling from the bottom of the concrete barrier. "Bigged than I though...," Beth whispered to herself as she made her first step into the campus. The air smelled of textbooks and cologne. Students were crossing the campus and some were chatting by the fountain and gardens. The courtyard had three large brick buildings surrounding it. The middle one was the tallest and largest. The other two were not as big, about half the size. "Dorms," Beth assumed. Dorms. Beth had came to the realization that there would be dorms and she would be staying in one with a complete stranger she wouldn't even know. "Sure are," said a voice from behind her. Beth turned around and gasped, almost causing her to almost loose her balance.

"Slow down there kid. Hmm... you're new aren't you?" questioned the boy as he rubbed his chin. "Yeah," Beth replied, confused as she eyed her luggage. "I'll show you you're dorm kid," he grinned as he tossed a pair of keys and Beth swiftly catched them. She looked at them then back at him. "You coming?" he asked walking towards the building on the left. Beth stood there lost for a second, then quickly scurried over to the boy who was now entering the brick building. "Girls' dorms. I'm not suppose to be in here so I'll drop you till here. Room number is 314 on the third floor. Your roomate'll probably show you round. Catch ya later, kid." He waved and walked to the building opposite the building Beth was in. "Why does he call me kid?" Beth mumbled she pressed the 'up' button on the elevator.

"Cause Isaac's a douche," remarked a female voice from behind. A girl with crimson blue eyes and wavy brunette hair walked by her. She had a slim figure and a sharp nose. She was tanner then Beth, which made her look like a model. "I'm Andrea Lusset," she smirked as the elevators opened, "and I'm your roomate." "I'm Bethany Kethly... and who's Isaac?" Beth asked, walking into the elevator with Andrea. "The guy you were with," she replied with a tone as if she wasn't interested in the conversation they were having which wasn't really a conversation. The elevator doors opened and Andrea walked ahead of Beth to a room. "Is this our room?" Beth asked as Andrew walked in. "Nope, it's Michelle's, my bestie," she explained, about to the close the door in Beth's face. "Wait," Beth cried as she stopped the door with her hand,"aren't you going to show me to our room?" "I don't have time for that Kethly, you can find it yourself," she argued, slamming the door in Beth's face. It's only been a few minutes in college and her roomate doesn't seem to be liking her. "Right, room 314."
