Pain

I'm looking in, hearing her cries, seeing her hurt
Another cut is added to her wrist, another thought of a noose
Her family doesn't care, they only make it worse
I feel useless, like there's nothing I can do
I worry every night about my darling love
I dream of helping her, escaping from this Earth
When I wake up, my dream disappears
A flicker of hope extinguished
Each day I get worse
I love her you see, but I can't help
There's nothing I can do
I remain on the outside looking in
Her cuts become mine, her tears coming from my eyes
I can't help but to wish I could help
Wish for a way to make it all better
I want to take all her pain onto myself so she can see,
See how beautiful she is, how precious her life is
For every time I think of why I love her, I fall deeper in love
I want to help, I want to heal her
But I can only remain here,
On the outside looking in
