Being a shy and introverted one, making friends and socializing has always been something to sweat about for you, so you never really had friends, until you met Do Kyungsoo.
You had just started highschool when you met him, a geeky soft-hearted sophomore who made the first approach when he offered help in drama class. You guys instantly clicked and soon became inseparable. You would cling on to him whenever you got too nervous around people and he would understand, making efforts to make you feel better and ponder you with cheesy words even though he wasn't the most romantic or charming guy, but that's what you liked about him. He was your 'average' type of guy. He wasn't as defined and well-toned as the jogs and wasn't as popular among the girls and knew too much about pororo more than necessary but you had no problem with all these, in fact you were quite happy because you believed that you guys were on the same level so you never felt insecure around him.
But things changed as time passed. He hit the jackpot when he won the school's singing competition and became popular within no time while you remained the same--invisible to everyone. You were happy for him, really but sometimes you missed having his company and you missed doing everything together, which was now impossible with his new 'popular friends' always smothering him. He still showed how much he cared for you and would come over to your house to do homeworkers whenever he could but you knew the distance was growing and tried your best to fix it. His appearance and looks changed too, with new, vibrant hair colors, replacing his heavy-rimmed glasses, which you found cute, with contact lenses and losing the oversized hoodies and channeling more clothes that 'fit his reputation'. He was becoming too cool for you.
You have not spoken to him for the past 3days as you barely saw each other and even when you did, he was always with pretty girls fawning over him so you decided to let your ego win over you and refused to talk to him first. Until this morning, you received a text from him telling you to wait for him afterschool.
