Perpetual

The sun will find a way to trespass through the trees and into the fields of  bareness you try so fatefully to thrive.
The moon will find a way to illuminate the hidden paths hiding between ridges of abandoned mountains.
The clouds will find a way to mask the Sun's light, though it will always fail, as water cannot survive the heat.
The darkness will find a way to hide the Moon's illumination, however it will also fail, as the darker it is, the stronger the Moon's light becomes.

To my future grandchildren.
Sometimes you won't be able to sleep, so you'll rise before dawn and smile in awe as a heavenly light you're unfamiliar with shines through your window. We are conceived in darkness, and born in light. My eyes burn.
