"I told you I didn't want to go!" I growled at my mother, feeling chills running down my spine.
"You'll be fine," was my mother's response. "It's probably fake!"
"Ahaha, fake. Explain that!" I snapped, pointing at curtains that seemed to move over the tightly closed window.
My mom and I were taking a ghost tour in San Antonio, Texas. While my mother is obsessed with ghosts, I was a medium, which should tell you enough about my choice.
My name is Madlyn Alcott. I was born in a no-name town near London, on a lovely farm on a hill in 2004. Moving to Texas in 2013, I was always that one odd kid with the "weird accent" in the mix of the flat and the longer, more slurred words.
I look absolutely nothing like my parents. With my brownish reddish hair and my dark blue eyes, I was the outcast of the black hair green eyes of my mother and father. They were both tall, I was only 5'1. I'm sure I'm adopted.
