Link recoiled as the bright sunlight of Hyrule temporarily blinded him. He was lying on the ground with Yuga just a few feet away from him. But for the moment he was forgotten. They had a wish to make. One that would save Lorule complete and utter devastation.

When Link's eyes adjusted, he saw Zelda sitting next to him with that gentle smile he loved. Her bright aqua blue eyes were full of excitement.

"Look Link!" She exclaimed, pointing excitedly to the Triforce that hovered in the sacred realm. Link gasped as she pulled him to his feet, before waving at him to come. “Come now Link! Let us make our wish!”

Link could only grin at her excitement as he stood up to follow her. He’d never realized that Zelda was so lively. It suited her.

And as he and she both placed their hands on the triforce, they shared a look of complete and utter understanding. They both knew what had to be done. And with a bright burst of light, Hilda and Ravio received a pleasant surprise as Lorule was restored to its former glory with the lorulean triforce hovering overhead.

However, Link and Zelda had no time to celebrate the restoration of Lorule, for they had a dying sorcerer to attend to. And Link and Zelda both raced back to Yuga as fast as their legs could carry them. Link reached him first, and proceeded to hoist him up over his shoulder. Since he was wearing the power gloves, Yuga weighed practically nothing. He needed to get Yuga out of the sunlight and into some cool shade. He looked around and spotted a nearby tree. He began to make his way over to it. Zelda grabbed his items and hurried over to the designated spot.

When Link got to the tree he gently lay the battered sorcerer against the trunk. He briefly paused for a moment to take in the unconscious sorcerer lying before him. If he hadn’t known any better, he would have thought the sorcerer to be dead. He had gotten significantly paler and was barely breathing. Not good. If he didn’t heal him soon, Yuga would surely die. His grim thoughts were interrupted as Zelda came to stand next to him with the same look of worry about her face.

“Do you think he’ll make it? I mean, you hurt him pretty badly. If anything, it’s a miracle that he’s still alive…” her voice trailed off as she leaned down to check for his pulse. However, no sooner had she leaned down before she shot back up and faced Link with an alarmed expression.

“Hurry, Link! I can barely feel his pulse now, and it’s dropping as I speak!”

Link wasted no time. He instantly reached for the emergency vial of red potion he kept inside his tunic. Quickly popping off the top, he knelt beside Yuga. Zelda came to his aid as she held Yuga’s head up. Link paused however, as he held the bottle centimeters from the sorcerer’s lips. If he saved him now, would he regret his decisions later? What if Yuga never changed? What if he killed himself once he realized he could never return home? Link’s hand hovered indecisively, and for a moment he considered letting the sorcerer die. But then Link remembered he’d brought this upon himself, he’d agreed to take responsibility for Yuga and he wasn’t going to back down from his decision. Whatever happened, he would take the blame for it, because when he made a promise he kept him. And with that resolution, he pressed the vial to the sorcerer’s lips and firmly tilted it up.

The effect was instantaneous. As the rich velvety liquid cascaded down Yuga’s throat, his body became engulfed in a warm pink glow. They watched in hushed amazement as his gashes began to close up and disappear, leaving nothing but thin white lines. Hopefully, they would fade with time. Then, as Link continued to hold the vial to Yuga’s lips, the sorcerer began to stir. Link and Zelda watched with anticipation as the sorcerer's black eyes slid open and blinked a few times before focusing on them.

"What…?" Yuga gasped hoarsely with a faint look of surprise at both the Hero and Princess Zelda. It was the most he could manage at the moment, he was so drained. Yet, he felt significantly better than when he'd collapsed in the chamber. In fact, all of his pain was gone. Which didn’t make any sense to him, but he wasn’t complaining. That was when he noticed that something was pressed against his lips. He looked down to receive a further shock at the empty red potion vial still being held to his mouth. His gaze snapped up to meet the Hero's, his eyes demanding an explanation. Yet the Hero only further confused him as he breathed a huge sigh of relief when he saw that he would be alright. Yuga blinked dumbly.

A thousand thoughts were swimming in his head now:

What is going on?

Where am I?

Why did these two save me?

And why are they looking at me with such happy faces?

I tried to kill him and I imprisoned her in a painting, yet they look so happy that I'm alive... It makes no sense!

A large part of him felt confused, yet another part of him felt...something else. A warmth of sorts. It wasn't something he had ever really experienced before. But he didn't want to ponder that feeling at the moment. Right now he was more concerned with the matter at hand.

"Where am I!" he demanded.

What he heard next made him sick to his stomach.

"Why in Hyrule of course! You live here now." Zelda cheerily answered.

Her words rang though his ears and reverberated inside his skull. "No..." he whispered, horrified.
