Brielle's POV
I wake up to the sound of chirping birds and my annoying alarm. I quickly jolt due to the sudden noise. That thing scares the living daylights out of me every single morning.
I got up and slowly walked to the bathroom, I was pretty aware of my surroundings because I've lived here for 8 years. I always had a struggle in finding out which one was my toothbrush. I knew my toothbrush had a bumpy texture, so I had to feel all the toothbrushes to find mine. Hey, you can't judge me, I'm blind.
After brushing my teeth, I decided to take a shower. I turn on a random tap, hoping it's the warm water. I go into the shower, but immediately jumped out, it felt like ice cold water. I quickly turn off the cold water and turn on the other tap. I put my hand in the water, only too feel boiling hot water. I quickly blow on my hand to stop the burn. I sighed to myself as I stopped the hot water. I swear to god, there is only two options in the shower. Third degree burns, or skinny dipping in Antarctica. When you're blind, you can't even tell which is which. I just turned on both of them, at the same time, and got in.
Okay, the shower was open, and the temperature was good. Now, I need the soap. So, I stepped a little closer to the shower but slipped on something. Ouch, that was going to leave a mark. Oh, and that something, was the soap.
After the warm shower, my mom called me from downstairs. "Brielle, come down! Your tutor is here!" I sighed. I wish I went to a public school, or I had friends, but all I had was home. "Coming!" I replied, slowly going downstairs. "No, no, no. I'm coming, last time you hurt yourself." Spoke my mom, I could hear her footsteps coming up to me. Though, she spoke to soon. I slipped at the edge of the stairs and fell down on my butt. I heard laughing, and it was obviously my twin sister, Stella. "Not funny, Stella." I said, hardly audible for anyone to hear. Unfortunately, she heard it. "Brielle, it's not my fault you're blind, and you have a boring awful life. It's not my fault I am so much prettier than you, and you look like a rat. So just deal with it when someone makes fun of you, because you can't do anything about it." Said Stella, suddenly so serious. I tried not to cry, I tried so hard. Stella always treated me like nothing. I wish she would stop. I heard my mother shout at Stella to go to her room, but she didn't listen to her and she pushed me down again. This is my life, and I couldn't change it no matter how hard I tried.
"Good morning, Brielle. How are you?" Asked my tutor, Ms.Catherine. "Not so good." I said, muttering. "What happened?" She said in a worried tone. "Stella happened." I said, sighing. "One day, you're gonna have stand up to her. She shouldn't be allowed to push you around!" She said, lecturing on and on. I bet she didn't even care about me, she only did this for extra money. "I know, but I can't even see her! I'm useless, no one needs me." I said, trying to hold back the tears. "Brielle! Don't say that, even though you can't see, that doesn't mean you're not perfect." She said, trying to make me feel happy or something. Well, it didn't work. All I felt was even more pain, and I knew the pain would never end. "Bye loser, I'm going to school and interact with people. Unlike someone." Stella said, obviously talking about me. I let tears stream down my face. I usually wouldn't take Stella's hate so seriously, but I had enough of staying strong. I needed someone to talk to, someone I can spill all my feelings to. I had no one.
