A shady-looking man slinked down a dark alley, looking not to be seen by anyone. He finally stopped and glanced left and right to ensure that no one was around. When he was sure that the coast was clear, he slid the hidden door open and rushed inside. "Melro. You've finally returned. What have you discovered about the princess?" The cold voice of the man before him sent shivers down Melro's spine.
Hesitantly, he handed a stack of papers to the outstretched hand. "This was all I could find on her." The man gave a quick nod before leafing through the papers in his hands.
Sighing, the man gestured to a pile of cash lying on the table next to him. "There's your payment. Take it and leave." Not waiting to be told twice, Melro took the cash and hurried to leave. Once the man was alone, he allowed a crass grin to stretch across his face. "Princess Mara. What is it about you that draws me in so?" He stood up and crossed the room to gaze at a board set up with various plans.
"The SEG should be getting back to me soon...Once they do, the fun can begin."
