Shadows

Chapter 1

Alex walked down the sidewalk, his black convers shoes hitting the ground as he walked. It was a nice day, the sun was out, the birds were chirping, and groups of friends chatted while walking down the street.

Alex finally got to his close friends house, he walked up the the dark wooded door and knocked. The brunette boy waited for his black haired friend to open the door.

Alex heard footsteps heading towards the door, the door opened and Zack stood there in his usual outfit: A large navy blue hoodie, black jeans, old worn out black combat boots, and a necklace with a weird symbol on it.

“ ready to go?" Alex asked looking at Zack.
"Yeah, let's go." Zack replied.

The two boys walked towards the dense forest and walk right in. They walked in silence for a couple minutes till Alex decided to try and start a conversation with his blue eyed friend.

"Hey Zack"
"Yeah"
"Why do you always wear that outfit?"
"Because a close friend gave me some of her old stuff before she left."
"Left where?"
"I don't know"

Both boys where silent after that conversation. Alex's green eyes scanned the area, tall trees, dark shadows, and little bunnies hopped around on the forest floor.

They kept walking for awhile, until they realized they had no clue where they are.
"Um Zack... where are we?" Alex asked in a worried tone. Zack glanced around. "I...I don't know..."

"We're lost..."
