"Wait so she said she's wants to have dinner with you sometime?" Ariel asked as I just finish telling them what happened.

"Yup and I don't want to have dinner with her and William" I admitted.

"Well just tell her that you can't make it because you have to take care of Isabella " Mitch said.

"I could bu-" I was cut off from the sound of someone knocking on the door.

Auston got up and answered it.

"Hailey!" He purposely yelled her name for us to hear.

"Why is she here?" Ariel asked as I just shrugged my shoulders.

"We are going out for dinner tonight if that's okay with you guys?" Hailey walks in as we all just look at each other.

"Sure" I said as Mitch slaps me lightly on the arm.

"Okay um i'll meet you guys at the restaurant at 6" Hailey says before leaving the apartment.

"Why did you accept that offer?"Auston asked me.

"Sorry but it's hard for me to say no" I admitted.

"That's true" Ariel backs me up.

"Now we have to get ready" Ariel grabs my hand and drags me to her room.

Ariel hands me an outfit for me to put on.

We walk out to meet Auston and Mitch.

"Shit" I mumbled to myself.

"What?" Ariel asked.

"I don't have anyone to watch Isabella" I told them.

"We can ask Steph?" Ariel suggests as I nodded yes.

"Who is Steph?" Auston asks as Ariel went to ask her.

"She's a girl that lives next door, she bakes the best cake" I told them.

Ariel comes back with Steph by her side.

"Thanks Steph for doing this" I hugged her.

"No problem" she smiles.

"Ahem" Mitch coughs out.

"Oh Steph that's Ariels boyfriend Auston and that's Mitch" I introduced them to her.

"Hi i'm Mitch, i'm single, I play hockey and i'm looking for love" Mitch comes up and shakes Steph's hand.

I can tell Mitch has a crush on her.

"We should go" I interrupted Mitch as I grab his hand and walk out the door.

I run around and mouthed "Thank you" to Steph as she closes the door.

"She totally likes me" Mitch confidently says.

"Yeah...totally" Ariel says trying not to laugh.

We make it to the car, luckily Auston was driving this time not Mitch.

"So do you think she likes me?" Mitch asked me.

He had been talking about Steph for this entire car ride.

"I don't know Mitch why don't you ask her!" I said getting annoyed.

We pull up in front of this fancy restaurant.

"I'm not ready to face him" I told them

"Well it's too late for that" Mitch said as he pointed to the restaurant.

You can see Hailey and William sitting at a table clearly waiting for us.

"Okay Auston and I will walk in together, Mitch you take care of her" Ariel says.

"Why don't you? You're the best friend" Mitch didn't want to deal with me having a panic attack.

"Mitch she's going to have a panic attack and I don't want to be near her when it happens" And with that Ariel leaves the car.

"Let's go Melissa i'm hungry" Mitch said holding his stomach.

"He's just going to flirt with Hailey right in front of my face, he knows how I get jealous easily"

"Melissa you are overthinking things, to be honest I feel like it's his lost that he broke up with you" Mitch kinda calmed me down.

"Thanks Mitch" i said.

"And you look great for someone that had a kid"

We get out of the car.

We look through the window to see William hugging Auston and Ariel.

Hailey looks out and sees us, she motions us to come in.

"Mitch I can't do this" I said.

"Come on!!" He grabs my hand and pulls me inside.

Mitch drags me to the table.

"Hey guys" Hailey says as she gives both of us a hug.

"William I want you to meet Melissa" Haley says interrupting his chat with Auston.

Those blue eyes that I feel in love with were staring at me.

I can see the surprised look on his face.

I just felt weak on my knees.

We both just stared not even saying a word.

To be honest he does look good.

"Let's eat!!" Hailey says.

Hailey and William were seated across from Mitch and I with William sitting across from me.

Can someone please save me from this soon to be awkward dinner.
