~ Christine ~

"Christy, dearie. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes Mum. A thousand percent. A zillion percent. I've been dreaming of this since I started watching it. It's the reason I took Screenwriting after all, right?"

"I'm just worried about you dear. Your sister is all the way in England, and now you're leaving us for LA."

"Don't worry Mum. I'll be back real soon. I can take care of myself. I'm 23 after all."

"Alright. Take care honey. I love you."

"I love you too Mum." I swoop in and gave her a huge hug.

"Take care pumpkin." Dad gave me one of his gigantic bear hugs. I love those so much. They make me feel so safe and homey.

  "I will Dad."

Just then, a voice on the intercom announced that it was time to enter the gates. I heave a huge sigh. I dreaded this moment so much. I turn to leave and waved to them until they were out of sight. Tears started to flow like crazy. Of course I hated leaving them. And New York too. It is the place I grew up in after all. I just don't want my parents to worry too much about me. I plug in my earphones and blast my favorite song: Jar Of Hearts. I immediately felt better after listening to it.

It was finally time to board the plane, and I dry the last of my tears. It wasn't time to cry anymore. It was time to be excited. I'm most likely gonna work for my all time favorite show anyway. To be able to work for Family Guy is my dream. I've watched it since I was little, when my sister and I snuck around recording the show and watching it when our parents weren't home. One thing about all this though, I've heard that Seth MacFarlane is a tough one. Pretty much the only thing that can stop your dream job from being the real life epitome of jobs is a tough boss. I believe in myself though. I'll crack anything that gets thrown at me because, well, I'm Christine Alberts and I damn well can do anything... I think so at least. Plus, I've watched every episode of Family Guy. From Season 1 to Season 11 currently airing now. I've watched it all 5 times at least and I'm pretty sure I can manage continuity. Plus, Mila Kunis and Alex Borstein are my favorite actresses. I just can't wait for me to reach LA and settle in.

After a while of waiting, I finally boarded the plane. I sat down and immediately selected Family Guy on the little television thingy. I started to watch and pick up more information, jotting it down on my notebook. I managed to squeeze in every episode until the current one airing on TV from Season 11 as well as a short movie. I should probably do some research on Seth MacFarlane too, but maybe tonight.

After I finally reached LA, I got my luggage and I was ready to roll. Literally. I sat down and waited for my ride. I'm gonna be staying with my best friend, Devin, from college who moved here a year ago. I love Devin. She's humorous, creative, as well as a fantastic designer. She was my dorm mate throughout the 4 years I majored in Screenwriting while she majored in Designing at NYU. We even have "our song": the FCC song. She was as big a fan as I was, but her heart was set on being an interior designer. I still remember those times when we took turns to get coffee for each other at 1 in the morning, and helping each other out with guy problems. Oh, the memories...

My ringtone suddenly sounded, breaking my reverie. It was a private number.

  "Hello. Christine Alberts."
