I was on the roof and lunch break was almost over. I had finished eating. I carefully wrapped my empty bento box in a furoshiki and placed it next to my backpack. I then removed the note I had prepared last night and some tape from my backpack and started to aproach the ledge. I was going to tape the note on the ledge so it didn't blow away in the wind, and then jump. I heard quick footsteps up the stairs to the roof, and then the door slammed open. A tall, slightly muscular boy with black hair, green eyes, and pale skin stood in the doorway to the roof, breathing heavily. Whoever this boy was, he probably had no idea he just saved my life. I wasn't just going to kill myself directly infront of someone. Suddenly he grabbed my hand and started running. His grip was tight, and I had basically no choice but to run as well. The bell wrang, but we ran past all the classrooms and teachers, and out the front door of the building. We ran into the woods behind the school and didn't stop until we reached a deserted feild. Even though I was out of breath, I managed to stammer out, "Who-who are you?" "My name is Clothar Anselmetti and I am your murderer." The boy who just saved my life said. I was confused. "I'm psychic, and last night I dreamt that you jumped off the building during lunch break. So I went up there to save you. And I also deamt that I killed you, so that will probably happen, but it didn't feel like it will happen soon." Clothar said. "How can you tell?" I asked. "Things that will happen later will feel more distant than things that will happen sooner." He said. "Okay." I said. "And you really shouldn't try to kill yourself. Your family has plenty of money and loves you, you get good grades, you have plenty of friends, and you're not a terrible person. Based on that I can conclude that the only reasons you would want to die are existential, and those always fade away." He said. I really didn't have anything I could say in response to that. "Sorry for yelling at you, I just get very worked up over that particular topic. I don't think we should bother heading back to school today. You should go home and get some rest. Today was probably very stressful for you." He said, and then started to leave. I couldn't decide if I was really upset at him or grateful.

The next day I went to school like normal. At lunch I walked down to the cafeteria to sit with my friends, but I saw Chlothar. I wanted to get to know him because he did save my life, and who wouldn't want to befriend a psychic. I didn't even believe that kind of stuff before yesterday, but there was no other way he could have known that I was going to kill myself right then. I decided to aproach him. "Hello." I said. "Hello." He responed. "Want to have lunch together?" He asked. I nodded. We walked up to the roof and sat next to eachother. "So..." I said, trying to think of something to talk about. I had so many questions to ask, but I didn't want to make him uncomfortable, so I didn't know what to say. "Thank you. I guess." I said. "Well, it was kind of the least I could do to save your life at least once considering that I'm going to end it one day." He said. He mentioned it. I guessed that would kind of be an okay for my questions. "In your dream, how did you kill me?" I asked. "Strangulation." He said. "That's somewhat brutal." I said. "Yeah, sorry." He said. "Don't apologize, you haven't killed me yet. And you're sure that that is going to happen?" I asked. "Yeah. A vision feels different than a normal dream. It feels much more real and detailed, and it's kind of like you're watching it from third person point of veiw, just seeing everything play out." He said. "Any other visions about me?" I asked. "Plenty, but most of them are boring. You know, just everyday stuff." He said. "Cool. Can you tell me the answers to my next geometry quiz?" I asked. "What? No! That would be cheating. Also, I don't know the actuall answers, I just know your answers, and you got, I mean, will get a sixty-five!" He said. "What? A sixty-five? That would be the lowest quiz grade I have gotten this year. I know that I don't really understand this particular section but still. Didn't I have any time to study?" I asked. He shrugged. It was quiet for a little bit as we ate. I looked at him. I hadn't noticed how bright green his eyes were. They were like emralds. His skin was aproximately the color of computer paper. "Hm? Why are you staring at me? Am I eating weirdly?" He asked. "No, not really." I replied, blushing slightly. "Not really? That means somewhat..." He said. "Oh, well, you cut your chicken nuggets in half with your fork before you eat them. Actually, most people don't even use a fork for chicken nuggets." I said. "Oh. That's a habit. My mother used to yell at me when I was really little if I didn't because apparently I almost choked on one once." He said. I couldn't help but laugh. Eventually I stopped laughing and finished my food, and then we talked a little bit more about miscilaneous things until the bell wrung for us to go to class. After that we always hung out together during lunch. When he was there at least. The rest of the time I just ate with my normal friend group.

It had been a few weeks since I met Chlothar, and it was also time for the students to head down to gym to see if there were any clubs they wanted to join. It was separated by grade so that the gym wouldn't get too crowded, and the sophmores were called down during my history class. I walked down with my friend Trini. She was short and curvy with brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. We were mostly friends because of our similar tastes in anime, and that's exactly what we talked about on the walk down to the gym. Once we were there though, she split off to go talk to her other group of friends, that I didn't like too much. They were Iris Bauer and Maiken Gerig. Iris had red hair that she had died purple streaks into, hazel eyes, and she had a pretty average body type. I didn't like her much because she was constantly on her phone. The only things she liked to talk about involved social media. The other one, Maiken, had dark hair, lighter brown eyes, and dark skin. I didn't like her much because she doesn't like me. We used to fight a lot. I kind of forget why. I wandered around looking at clubs. I didn't want to crowd up my schedual too much, I had done that last year and my homework grade suffered because of it. Art club would be a pretty decent choice. I wrote my school email on the list. I noticed another email was also on the list: anselmettic19. That would be Clothar's school email.

For a few Wednesdays in a row, Clothar and I had spent time together on the roof after art club, then, since our houses were in the same direction, walk home together. It was Wednesday, and Chlothar and I were walking home. We were only a couple houses away from mine, when suddenly something jumped out at me. I couldn't identify it, it looked like some tall mass of shadow, but it had red glowing eyes. I panicked and held my hands out as some sort of defense. It stopped. It took me a moment to realize that it was frozen.
