"I dare you to sit down right here" Ben pointed to the ground "then play your guitar, but you have to ask out the first girl that sits down in front of you." Ben smiled as Jack sat down and began playing.

"Emma over here!" Lillian shouted. Emma fought her way through the massive crowd to her friend. Lillian had found a deserted spot by a lake under a magnificent oak tree. "What's up Lillian?" Emma said as she sat down beside her friend. "Trying to avoid human contact as usual." Lillian smiled and gave Emma a hug. The two girls sat beside each other by the roots of the large oak. The shade was welcoming under the bright blue skies and brilliant sun. "So, Emma what song do you want to sing, I'm in the mood to play some pretty tunes." Lillian said as she reached for her guitar. Emma pulled out her music binder and flipped through and looked for a good song to sing. "How about this one." Emma pointed to Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini. Lillian smiled at Emma and began playing. Emma followed her and sang the song as if she had known it her whole life. Emma's mesmerizing voice and Lillian's magnificent guitar skills caught the attention of many people. Emma poured out her soul into the song and Lillian played like an angel. Lillian's fingers moved effortlessly as she played. The girls had been music buddies for the longest of times.
As the song came to an end the girls noticed how large the crowd had grown as the applause filled the air. Most of the people gave compliments and kept walking and some just walked off. The girls knew that if they could gather that large of a crowd then there was soon to be some competition since they were attending a school for the musically talented.
Emma looked around and noticed a few boys sitting by the late and a group of preppy looking girls in a cluster giggling. Probably more of the latest gossip. Lillian grabbed the cookies out of her bag and offered some to Lillian. They had made them a yesterday before setting out on the drive to Musical Magic. The school had seemed like a suitable place to go because of all of the opportunities. Emma and Lillian went over their music making changes where they needed to be. The girls had always been a team with music.
"Maybe we should change this note to fit your range." Lillian said before she took a bite of her cookie. "We could but are you willing to change the whole song for one note that I could work at a little more and get?" Emma smiled and grabbed a cookie. The cookies were still slightly warm due to sitting in a black bag all day. Emma continued and said, "I know I can get the note just a little more practice is all it will take." Emma bit off a chunk of her soft golden-brown peanut butter cookie. "So, Lillian how's the guitar playing coming, you sound beautiful." Lillian smiled and said, "Well I don't know if you noticed but I to need some practice." Lillian said emphasizing 'you' and 'I', gave Emma a sassy look and took a bite of her cookie. Emma returned the sassy look and said, "well fine then go practice," emphasizing 'fine', and aggressively took a bite of her cookie. The girls broke out in laughter and Emma coughed as she slightly choked on a piece of cookie. The girls began packing up their stuff and headed for the school. Jack had sat down by the lake with his guitar to practice when the two girls sat under the large oak tree. He could hear faint giggling and could tell they had been friends for a while. It took them about fifteen minutes until the girls began playing music. It was some dang good playing too. He recognized the song, it was Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini. With the guitar playing of a pro and the voice of an angel, the girls captivated him. He watched them for as long as he could, for a crowd had been slowly gathering around them. The girl who had been singing had stopped and the guitar playing came to an end. The crown dispersed and the girls came back into view. It was that moment that Jack knew that he was going to have quite the amount of competition from them.
One girl had auburn hair and the otherhad strawberry blonde. They were about the same height but there was a slightadvantage by the one with auburn hair. She was a bit taller, and had thepretty voice. Jack himself was a guitar player, he didn't think he had muchtalent with his voice, others had always told him different but that's okay. Jackpreferred his guitar and left the singing to his buddy Ben. It had been thatway since they were little and they both liked it that way.
