Part 2

Mushu picked himself up of the steps, took his gong in hand and began to walk to the stone statue. With a groan he reached the statue and began to wake the sleeping guardian.

"Hey, hey rocky wake up. You got to go fetch Mulan." Seeing that, that idea failed he went to the front of the statue and tried a different technique.

"Come on boy * whistle* come on"

Suddenly the stone eyes of the statue glowed an emerald green, what used to be the light grey body cracked and crumbled to reveal a bright red scaly one underneath. When all the stone was off your body, you stretched and yawned.

"I've been in there for so long that I need to stretch for a minute. I'm sorry you were saying" you said with a smile ( 10,000 years gives you such a crick in the neck)

Mushu had never seen another guardian before never mind another dragon guardian who was (in his opinion) beautiful. He blushed a little

"*cough* sorry you need to go get Mulan and bring her back or if it's too late protect her and honestly this should be my job not yours" He said crossing his arms

Jumping off of your platform you got an idea.

"Go on then. Go after her since this was supposed to be your job"

Mushu looked at you as if you were crazy and you gave him a smug smile.

"No, No, No, No the ancestors are expecting you to up hold the family honour"

"No their expecting me go get Mulan so she can hold up the family honour and honestly that isn't what I have in mind"

He still looked at you like you were insane but he was interested in what you had to say but before he could ask a voice was herd coming from the shrine.

"Great stone dragon have you awakened?" shouted the ancestor

You poked your head above the bushes and looked the spirit in the eyes

"Yes sir I am awake and ready to do my job" you replied

"Go the fate of the Fa family rests in your claws"

After he said that you began walking to the gate but before you left you turned around and saw Mushu about to walk back to the shrine with a frown. Seeing him like that made you feel sorry for him which gave you an idea.

"Hey Mushu you want to come? Since this was supposed to be your mission"

Mushu's ears perked up at hearing this.

"What you want my help? The great stone dragon wants my help?" Seeing him so happy made you smile.

"Well after hearing the convocation between you and the ancestors I think you need to prove your worth to this family don't you?"

With no hesitation he ran after you and climbed onto your back.

"So watts the plan?"

"You are going to make Mulan a war hero and by the end of it the ancestors' will be begging you to go back to work."

"But what about you? I mean they won't exactly be thrilled"

"Me? I'll probably go back to being stone waiting to be called on again so don't worry about it. Any way my name's (Y/N) not great stone dragon it gets annoying to say over and over"

And with that you went running at full speed after Mulan with Mushu on your back.
