A nice day. Yellow. steamy whiffs of sunshine waft all around the room. The room is full of light green couches with cats and porcelain figures on the windowsill. The curtains are flying sheets. It's syncopated and sweet. The trumpets have mutes and the saxes are smooth. The piano keys stick and the microphone is fuzzy. She sits on the floor holding a glass of water. Her hair is grey and her dress is woolen and covered in strings. The guitar comes in, and the noise of the strings sound like the ones on the lady's dress. Outside the window there are sounds of razors and scissors. You can smell freshly cut hair and spritzers. The barber looks at the lady through the window and smiles. The lady smiles and sips her water. Her hair floating around her face in the breeze. She needs a haircut. The flute comes in. The notes drop one by one like rain. They sound creamy and sweet. The train passes between the window and the barber shop. When the last car leaves, the barber and the lady are still there smiling at each other.
