"We don't live in a fairytale. The supposed 'good side' doesn't always win."
"You are broken and shattered. You have nothing left."
"There is a spark. Some people still have hope."
"No one believes in you."
"You have no one."
"You are nothing."
My eyes jolt open. I look around and find that I am still in my room. I put my hand on my head.
"Are you okay. You've been muttering in your sleep for hours." I look over and saw my mom.
"Yeah... just nightmare. I think." I said to her.
"Okay. Get dressed and come downstairs. The delegates from the other packs are here."
"Already? Yeah I'll be down soon."
My name is Davara Syan. I am the princess of the Magist Pack. I am a werewolf with light blue eyes, gold hair with silver and blue highlights, and the fur on my ears and tail are a deep blue that fades to light blue then silver at the tips. All of this is natural, I did not dye my hair or fur. My mother would have my head if I did that. Oh well. Let's just get this meeting over with. I put on a dark blue dress with golden flowers on it, white heels, and the silver crown my mother insisted I had. (And no. She was not sleeping sleeping with no clothes on. I am just to lazy to describe what she was wearing.)
I was walking down to the meeting hall when I heard a yell come from my mother's private office.
"She is not your child!" Someone I didn't know.
"You cannot oppose me. I have much more power than you and your little group ever will." That was my mom.
"You took her because the true Syan princess is dead."
There was a scraping noise, the click of shoes, and a yowl of pain. My eyes were wide and I ran down the stairs to the hall.
Who died? I thought. There is only one Syan princess and that is me, right?
I entered the hall and took my place that my mom prefers me to sit: the throne that was right next to hers. My mother entered shortly after me and took her place. She looked at the people in front of her and said, "It is a pleasure of being able to meet with the other packs today, yes?"
