"It's raining again."
Vess sighed. Looking down upon the window sill while tracing his index finger in a figure eight pattern on the wood.
"It's been like this all week. What do you expect?"
Dec complained. He was scrolling on his phone looking through his twitter feed not paying any attention to vess.
This is dec and vess's Hangout. It's an old cabin on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. In the forest. They've been coming here since they found it back in 2011. Whether it's to get away from stressful environments, to just be away from people, or just to hang out together and converse about the little-big things.
It's a grey-painted cabin with a white trim. It seemed it hasn't been touched or cared for in years. Decades even.
It seems.
Forgotten.
Until dec and vess found it.
It now has cheap furniture vess could afford at the time or poorly made wooden chairs dec tried to make. He failed miserably but never admitted to it. Still to this day.
They probably can afford better stuff now that it's 2017 and they have a career now, but they made so many memories with the things they have. They don't want to let go.
Vess frowned and picked at the chipped white paint from where he once was tracing his finger.
"I don't know.. I just want it to be sunny like it was a few days ago.."
Dec raised one eyebrow but didn't veer his attention from his phone.
Surprisingly, the cabin is in an area where you can get an okay signal. But if you walk a few steps away from the cabin and deeper into the forest. Your phone is no use.
"Pfft. The forecast said it won't change for a few days. Just wait."
Vess glanced over at dec.
"What are you even doing"
Dec scrolled through his timeline and read through more replies to his recent tweet.
"What does it look like I'm doing?"
Vess, slightly irritated, pulled out his phone too.
"Sassy much?"
Vess started to unlock his phone.
"Is that what the kids call it? Sass."
Dec retorted.
Vess opened his camera trying to hide his smirk.
"Yes dec"
Vess held up his phone, front facing him and dec.
"Smile for the camera dec"
Dec looked up at vess and what he was doing.
Vess took the photo, pushed dec off of him, and ran out of the room.
"VESS! DELETE THAT NOW" Dec screamed as he jumped off the old recliner and followed onto vess's trail.
Vess, dying of laughter ran to find a hiding place.
He really did it this time.
(A/N: I know the picture is in a car but I needed writing inspiration and that's the only thing I had 😂)
