Yes, it's true, Josh Dun was my high school crush. I originally grew up in Columbus Ohio. I went to Elementary school, Middle School and part of High School in Columbus Ohio. In High School, where I met Josh, we connected over our love of music. He saw me wearing a Green Day shirt one day and asked me about it. That's when our conversation struck and we became friends. Just friends. Nothing more. What Josh didn't know is that I had a crush on him. A big one. But me, a nerdy, unpopular, shy girl, never had the nerve to tell him.
Josh was one of the friendliest people to me in high school, so it made me sad that my family had to move all the way to San Jose in my senior year of high school for my father's job. Josh and I lost touch and never spoke again after I moved. Ever since, I found out he was in a band with a guy named Tyler Joseph and was playing some really good music. I had been following him on his music journey and saw him rise to success all the way from when he released Regional at Best with Tyler to the Blurryface phenomenon.
Lydia doesn't even know that I went to high school with him. Cameron didn't know that I went to high school with him either. I had kept my Josh Dun high school secret to myself. However, I don't know how long I could do that until I actually meet Josh. What if he recognizes me? I want him to, but at the same time I don't. My crush for him still lingers in my mind once and a while and I didn't think it was ever going to come back to me, but now that we're going to meet him, I'm afraid for what is yet to come.
As the day of the tour and show approaches, I feel my self getting eaten away more and more by my nervousness. Josh Dun, what have you done to me?
