"What the hell were you thinking? You know what you weren't thinking!" My dad yelled. I could tell his blood pressure was sky high.

"What are you going to do about school?" My mom yelled after.

"I'll figure it out."

"And of all people a band member? How do you know if you can depend on him? Have you even told him?"

"No dad I'm going to though."

"When Ava? This baby isn't going to wait."

"I know dad."

"Have you thought about adoption?"

"I did but I can't do it."

"It's not about whether you can do it or not, it's about what's best for that child."

"What's best for this child is for them to be with their mother. I don't want them growing up wondering why their real mother didn't want them like me and Ryder have done every single day of our lives. Come on dad two white parents with two mixed children? Did you really think we were always going to feel like we fit in with you?"

"Your birth mother was unfit and she didn't deserve you two."

"Well I'm not my mother."

"I can't tell. Look how you got into this situation."

"John she gets it okay? You made your point." My mom cut in

"Believe me I love you guys so much. You are my parents but for once can you support my decision?"

"No Ava because its a stupid decision."

"John. Stop."

"No Marie. I am not-"

"What's going on?" Anna came in. We hadn't heard her bus pulled up.

"Nothing sweetheart. Ava maybe you should stay with your sister for a few days. I can't even look at you." My dad waved me off.

"What's going on?" Anna asked again frustrated.

"Ask your sister." He said as he walked out of the room.

I didn't even give her a chance to ask me. I went to my room to get some clothes while my mom stood in the doorway crying.

"He's just upset. He'll cool down."

"Yea okay." I mumbled.

"I love you sweetheart and so does he. He just wants what's best for you."

"I love you to mom and what's best for me is support." I looked at her and then gave her a hug. " I'll be at Ryder's"

I gave her a kiss on the cheek and headed outside where Ryder was waiting in the car.

"Ava what happened?" Anna asked standing between me and the door.

"I'll call you later. I can't talk about it here."

"Okay don't forget."

"I won't I promise."

I gave her a hug and she let me through to the door.

I know my dad wants what he thinks is best but what he thinks is best is not the best for everyone else.

I got in the car and my phone started ringing but I ignored it.

"Is that him?"

"Yea."

"When are you going to tell him?"

"I don't know."

"Well if you're going to you have to do it soon."

"I know. Look can we not talk about this?"

"Even if we don't talk about it it will still be there."

"God Ryder I just got into this with dad now you?"

"Look I'm sorry I'm just telling you the truth. Did you really rule out adoption?"

"I thought about it at first but I can't do it."

"Well okay." She said as she started the car and drove off.

Harry's POV

"Voicemail again?" Niall asked.

"Yea."

"Geez man what did you say?" Zayn cut in.

"Nothing. I don't think, I don't know. Oh wait she just texted me."

Ava:

We need to talk. FaceTime tomorrow? 8am my time?

Me:

Yea sure. Is everything okay?

Ava:

We'll talk about it tomorrow.

Me:

Okay. Talk to you tomorrow.

"She needs to talk. She's going to FaceTime me tomorrow at 1 our time. She's gonna tell me to stop talking to her."

"How do you figure?" Zayn asked.

"That's what girls always mean when they say "we need to talk." It's a fact of life." I answered confidently.

"You don't know for sure." Niall insisted.

"We'll see."

I think Niall and Zayn were wrong on this one. We're not dating and I know I shouldn't like her because of the distance but I do and I can't help it.
