It's funny how the do's and don'ts of parenthood can affect how your children will be raised, what your children will become. Will they be do-gooders and angels or will they be the monsters that will make your deepest and darkest fears come to life?
I don't think my parents even cared that they were fucking me up to be honest. Hell, even I didn't know they were fucking me up until reality came crashing down one night after I robbed a bank. That's when shit hit the fan and I was left behind for dead while the whole gang ran away with billions of dollars.
But, again, I don't even know if that was the worst night of my life because of her. That beautiful she-devil that kicked ass on that oh-so-tight-fuck-me jumpsuit. Andromeda Claire Moore. I just remember her blood red eyes staring daggers at me while she kicked the hell out of the ones left behind after the explosion. I still remember her hair waiving around, making a pitch back halo around her face, how angelic and yet demoniac she looked.
She arrived moments before the bank collapsed around us and I when the bombs went off, I was still standing in the centre of to, holding two bags full of diamonds and staring at that creature. When the bomb went off, all I could see was people being thrown across the street, the sweet screams of people panicking and running to God knows where, knowing that none of the heat, none of the rubble would hurt me. Or her for that matter.
I felt a laugh coming up and even before I realised I was dancing in the middle of the flames, laughing my head off while chaos reigned around me. That's what I live for, the chaos. It brings so many noises to my quiet world, it brings a sense of order and a sense of control that nothing and perhaps none can ever have the same effect on me.
Well, none except maybe Andy Candy and all those times we hooked up under the benches in high school. God how I miss those days where I didn't know who she was and what she did, when I tried to kill her as many times as the Joker tried to kill Batman. I miss those lips and how I'd run my fingers through that long, silky hair of hers and how we'd laugh and fuck under the stars.
It broke my heart when I discovered that Andromeda was the Syren.
