You awoke to the shrill sound of a fire alarm blaring in your ear and the smell of something burning. You hurriedly jumped out of bed and checked your clock. 3am.

As you stepped out of your room, the smoke became more overpowering and you saw a flickering orange coming through the opening to the kitchen.

"Ethan! Tyler! Get the fuck out of bed!! There's a fire!" You yelled while running down the hall and down the stairs to grab your dog, Barabbas. You pulled him out of his crate and carried him down the hallway to retrieve Amy. You threw open her door and yanked off her covers as the dog licked your face. "Amy! Get up! Now!"

"(Y/N)?" she called as she rubbed her eyes. "What's going on?"

You put Barabbas down and grabbed Amy's hand and pulled her out of her bed and down the hallway, your dog now skidding on the hardwood floor towards the kitchen. "There's a fire somewhere in the h- wait! Barabbas!"

Then you saw it, the silhouettes of two men in the kitchen. You dropped Amy's hand, staring in disbelief as one of the men desperately tried to turn off the stove, the other one holding a pan of some weird substance. Barabbas was jumping up and down, excited and curious about what was happening.

"Tyler, turn that damn thing off!" Ethan screamed, something that looked like flour covering his body.

"I'm trying, Ethan!" Tyler cried, frantically trying to get a grip on the slippery knob that wasn't even used to turn off the stove.

Ethan screamed, the pan in his hand suddenly erupting in flames. "Tyler! Help me!"

You calmly walked into your kitchen, pushing past Tyler and reaching for the pan in Ethan's hands. You dumped it in the sink and let the water run over the charred pan. You then turned to Tyler, who stepped out of your way and let you turn off the stove. A calmness swept the room and the two men let out a sigh of relief.

You looked around, getting a good look at your kitchen. "Goddammit, you guys," You sighed. The plant in the window above the sink was slightly burnt and the towels were covered in flour. There was batter for whatever the hell they were making all over the floor and the counter, and the sink was clogged with egg shells. There were chocolate chips all over the place and burnt foods everywhere and pots and pans and cups and bowls stacked high on the counter as well as some broken plates.

You put your hands on the counter to stop yourself from strangling the men. The two nervously looked at you, a scared look in their eyes. "GODDAMMIT YOU GUYS. WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO MY KITCHEN?"

Ethan fell to his knees, hugging your legs. "I'm soo sorrry, (Y/N)! I wanted to do something nice for you for Valentine's Day and I wanted it to be perfect and now it's not perfect and and now you p-probably hate me!" The blue boy cried out, snot running from his nose and tears collecting in his eyes.

"Hey! Don't try to take all the credit!" Tyler yelled behind him. "It was my idea too! I wanted to do something special for you, (Y/N)!" The larged man yelled while shuffling up to you and hugging your torso.

Amy started to giggle. You turned, or turned to the best of your ability, to Amy. "What are you laughing about?"

"That's so nice! I wish Mark would ruin the kitchen for me sometime," she snorted. "Anyways, I'm going back to bed. You guys have fun cleaning this hell up."

I turned to the two men. "Oh no, I'm not helping you two out. I'm going back to bed and when I wake up I want all of this to be completely gone."

You wiggled out of their grasp, making your way to the hall but you stopped in your tracks when you heard a crash. Sighing, you turned back around and back into the kitchen, leaning on the counter. "I've changed my mind."

You grabbed a rag from one of the drawers and got to work on cleaning the floor while Tyler started on the dishes and Ethan gathered the floury towels that littered the kitchen.

"What were you guys making anyways?"

Tyler looked up from the dishes to you. "Isn't it obvious?"

You gave him a weird look and frowned. "Nooo."

"Pancakes!" Ethan yelled as he jumped up. "They were gonna be (F/P), because we know they're your favorite!" He rubbed the back of his head while blushing.

You smiled, then asked another question. "Why at three in the morning?"

"WHy not?" Ethan said, a goofy smile plastered on his face.

Tyler put down a dish and pushed up his glasses and turned his head to look at you. "It's because we were gonna make a whole lot of them and invite everyone over just so we... could... show everyone... how much we care about... you." He slowly turned away, a light blush on his cheeks.

You just rolled your eyes, getting back to cleaning up their mess.

It took about an hour to get everything cleaned up. You all had worked extremely hard to get flour and pancake batter out of every corner of your kitchen while Barabbas watched from his crate in the next room over.

The three of you collapsed against the cabinets once your kitchen was practically sparkling.

"Ahhh the kitchen's cleaner than it's ever been before," you sighed. Tyler nodded in agreement and leaned you on his shoulder by wrapping his arm around your shoulder. Almost immediately, Ethan rested his head in your lap. You ran your fingers through Ethan's blue hair, but just as you were all finally relaxing, you heard a small sniffle.

"Ethan, what's wrong?" You asked as you cupped his cheek.

"I just wanted today to be perfect," he cried, leaning into your touch. "It's supposed to be Valentine's Day and it always makes me happy to know that you care so much about us and I wanted to show how appreciative I am but everything just went to hell."

You slowly rubbed circles into his cheek, wiping away any tears that had fallen from Ethan's eyes and snuggling into Tyler. Ethan slowly pulled himself along your body, resting his head in your chest.

"It was perfect to me."

Extended Ending...

You three woke up at eight to the sound of whispers and giggles. You were still in the same position as last night, only Barabbas had joined you all at some point and was asleep on one of Tyler's legs.

"Shhhhh, shhhhh, they're waking up."

You looked up to see the sun shining in through the kitchen window and squinted your eyes, taking in the form of Mark and Amy.

"Morning, sunshines!" Mark said while shaking the sleepiness out of the three of you.

"Five more minutes," Ethan said while burying his face in your chest.

Amy giggled. "Let's let them sleep. They had a rough night last night."
