agender problems

Hi guys this is Erin

I just want to talk about one of the problems I face—along with other people who also are agender or some other Non-binary gender—with being agender.

-when people I trust talk about gender and I say I'm agender then they look at me like "but you're a girl"

Okay first off, I trusted you. Second of all, you just said you support all genders and now you tell me this? It's very discouraging and makes me honestly want to just... I guess you could say kinda remove them from my life for a bit cause you know, I DONT NEED THAT TYPE OF NEGATIVITY IN MY LIFE!

lol anyways I have to take a step back for a minute though and remember that not everyone knows about non binary very well and don't understand it completely! So that's why I like to have a talk about non binary and what agender means before I just go out a say it. And I recommend you guys do the same! Before you jump the gun and get angry, just take a deep breath and inform them about it and make sure you tell them "that really hurts me when you say that" or something along those lines!

Now if you've tried that and it's still not working and they're still making you feel horrible then I think removing said toxic person would be a good idea in this circumstance.
