A/N So, as you know this going to be a revamp of the original but hopefully better. With that in mind, lets begin again shall we~

You slashed downwards, finally ending the grotesque beast before you. From twenty slashes to seven in half a year, you was pretty proud of yourself. But it wasn't enough, you needed to get stronger and fast. 

Fate would not wait for you again.

Bones cracking and flesh squelching beneath each weighted step.

You made a noise in affirmation.

For the high commander of Asralen Kingdom, he liked to disappear a lot. Then again, he was much more suited to being a lone wolf, bringing back information for his soldiers, raising the chance of victory and diminishing the number of deaths. You would probably be a lone wanderer yourself if not for his traits.

''Aren't you worried?'' you asked with a peculiar twinkle in your eyes.

''We'll see.''

Your smile made him uncomfortable. You knew that even if he didn't show it. If the world wasn't the way it currently is, you doubt he would have even sought you out. Perhaps seal you away from the world under a rock fall. It wouldn't kill you, but no curious bystander would stumble upon you by accident.

Maybe it will still happen.

Shadows clinging to what was once probably Coeurls. Black sludge clung to their rotting corpses, tearing at flesh and writhing. Stuck in their monotony till a new variable appeared. One that would come in the form of Cor and you. No confirmation was needed as you both set of to deal with the newcomers.
