jai: james can i come over tonight

jambo: sure. whats up tho?

Jaiden shut off her phone. She didn't wanna have to explain anything.

jai: nothing i just wanted to come over ig

jai: maybe we could do a collab

jambo: sick

jambo: you sure nothing is wrong??

jai: im fine, james

jai: i promise

She really wasn't, but she didn't want James to worry.

jambo: you triple sure??

Jaiden snapped.

jai: can you just stop talking about it?

She groaned out loud. She grabbed her bike, picking up her half-empty water bottle and stuffing it in her pocket.

And off she went, putting in her earbuds, listening to her favorite songs as she biked, hoping to be cheered up before she got to James' house.

Her phone buzzed.

jambo: jaiden are you almost here?? its been like 15 minutes

jai: im like right around the corner from your house im biking

jambo: oh sorry

jambo: remember what the coppers say, dont text and bike

jambo: jk stay safe dont die ok cya in like 5 minutes

Jaiden couldn't help but smirk at James' awkwardness and horrible jokes.

Jaiden felt happier as she saw James' house. So of course, it started raining.

"Ugh!" Jaiden almost screamed.

Why does God hate me? Jaiden thought, pedaling quicker, trying not to get wet.

Her legs were already super tired. And so was she.

She couldn't help it. She broke down, sitting down in the grass, crying, alone in the rain.

James walked out at just the right time.

"Jai! What's wrong?" James shouted, running towards her, ready to help.

"J-james, please just..." Jaiden wasn't sure if he wanted him or not.

"Let's just go inside. Get out of the rain. Sound good? We can watch Stranger Things or something and I'll make some cookies." James patted her back softer than the rain did.

"A-alri--okay." Jaiden replied.

They walked inside.

"Hey..Uh..Jai. Can we watch Spongebob? I don't have Netflix." James laughed a bit.

"Oh, God, yes." Jaiden said, sniffing and smiling.

James always had a special way of cheering Jaiden up. He always made her laugh. It was always weird to Jaiden how only James could cheer her up when she was sad. It always amazed her.

Anyway, they sat down on the couch, looking at the channels.

"Yo, watch this." James said, smiling a bit.

"Ta-da!" he added, putting on Netflix.

"What?" Jaiden laughed.

"I forgot I paid for this month." James grinned.

"A-awh, sick!" she replied, not sure how to respond.

And they binged.
