Hugo stepped out of the vault with the wooden box in his hands behind Master Eon, a slightly nervous look on his face. He was probably holding the 5th biggest responsibility in his hands, and he wasn't exactly sure what had made the Portal Master choose him to care for all 59 Traps in that box. But at the same time, he wasn't exactly sure why he agreed to do it. All he knew now was that he had the box in his possession for the next 3 weeks, and he couldn't back out now.

The sun was setting over the Academy, and Hugo was packing up his things to return to his room for the night.

"Now, remember what the Portal Master told you, Hugo." Eon says to him as he pushed a few books onto a shelf. "The box must be locked every night, and all of the Traps have to be in their right spots."

Hugo nodded. "Yes, Master Eon. Goodnight, sir."

Eon nodded back to him and Hugo left with the wooden box in his hands, starting for the stairs.

He was halfway up the stairs when he ran into Flynn and Cali, who were arguing about who knows what. He bid them good night, and met Mags at the top of the stairs, who was working on one of her security drones.

"Malfunctioning again, Mags?" Hugo asked, setting the box down on the ground next to his door to unlock it.

"You got that right," she says, her entire head (and hat somehow) inside the robot. "The whole thing went and fried."

Hugo nodded slightly, hoping that she wouldn't go into detail because he knew he wouldn't understand any of it. "Well, I wouldn't stay up too late with it. We're going to be way more busy with the Portal Master gone for the next few weeks."

"Don't you go worrying about me. I can take care of myself. You go on off to bed." Mags waved him off slightly and stuck her head back into the robot to continue her repairs.

Hugo shook his head with a small smile. "Goodnight, Mags." He picked up the box and closed the door behind him, drowning out the banging noises from Mags working.

Hugo quickly opened the box after settings stuff down to make sure nothing was moved or damaged. All of the Traps were in their place like they should be. He sighed to himself, got ready for bed, and quickly went to sleep.

He never locked the box.
