Leafy's parent's car pulled up to their brand new house. It was a brick house, with the brick exposed, a deep red color. Leafy thought it looked nice. She got out of the car, along with her family, and walked up the steps. It was a pretty modern house.

"Leafy, we have some boxes for you to unpack." Her Dad called.

"Ok Dad!!" She yelled. She walked up the stairs, towards the bedrooms. Leafy was an only child so she got to choose which of the two bedrooms, other than her parents, that she got. The first was a very girly, medium sized room. It had a small pink chandelier hanging from the middle of the ceiling. It was ok, she thought.

The next room was a turquoise color. It was pretty large sized and had a wooden floor, unlike the carpet in the other room. It looked a little guyish, but Leafy felt right at home, so she chose that room. She didn't fancy pink anyway.

Soon after she had unpacked, and her parents were still unpacking, there was a knock on the door. As her parents were occupied, leafy opened the door.

((Leafy's POV) doing this because I like it better....)

I opened the door and saw this boy, who I'm assuming is my neighbor. He looked to be about two years older than me, so about a senior in high school. I guess I stared for too long because I had no sleep, but I woke up from my staring fest to him saying,"Hey I'm Firey." I guess I'm not the only one here with a weird name I guess.

"Uh, hey." I said shyly. Now that I thought about it, he did look kinda hot.

Now I've always been a weird girl. I act kinda guyish, so everyone thought I'm lesbian. But I'm not. Stereotypes, am I right? Anyway, I've never had a crush in my life, I just don't like girls that way, just saying. I had gotten a call from Needle a week before the 'incident'. She had told me she was lesbian and asked me to be her girlfriend. I told her that I just wasn't lesbian but I supported her in every way. That was great for her. But then she got a girlfriend, she wasn't exactly......nice. She was into drugs and had tattoos all over. Well, Needle hung out with her more, obviously, and started getting tattoos on parts of her body I couldn't see, that's why I only saw them that day of the 'incident'.  Gosh, I'm rambling, aren't I?

But anyway, I thought I had found my first crush. He seemed sweet anyway.

"Well I actually have a welcoming gift." Firey said. He called for me to come to his house. "I kinda forgot it at my house." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's fine." I said shakily. Why was I so scared? He unlocked his door and we walked in. His house was pretty cute. We walked upstairs to a room that said Firey. He picked up a gift basket off his floor, which was a mess. I looked around and I saw a pair of boxers and instantly blushed. He just looked at me weirdly. We walked downstairs and opened the door. My house was just next door, so it was a quick walk. He handed me the gift basket and said, "Well, i've got to go to Football practice. I hope that we can hang out sometime soon!" He waved bye and walked into his house. Seeing him leave made me kinda sad.

That night, my furniture hadn't been delivered yet, so I slept in a sleeping bag. I tried to go to sleep, but I just couldn't. Then I thought about Firey. I wondered if he had a girlfriend. I wondered what he thought about me. Did he think I was a loser because I acted so shy? Hopefully not. Was I over reacting? Probably. Then I finally went to sleep.

The next day was school. I had transferred in the middle of the year, so they were all already friends. I was really nervous and I didn't know how to calm myself. When I walked into the school, it was crowded with people talking and kissing and people trying to look cool. There was a couple of stares directed at me. Already off to a great start. I noticed Firey in the corner. I was walking over to him, when I noticed he was kissing a girl with green and pink hair. She was wearing pretty revealing clothes. I was never going to be like that.
