Chapter fifty three: Single doesn't last long

I've been getting a ride from Riley to class everyday. I've been good at not talking to Drew. It's been three weeks and I haven't said a word to him. Also, Hale and Riley have been hanging out a lot lately. I find it so cute. He told me last week he really likes her ands she's telling me the same now. Though I've been zoning in and out of the conversation, I have heard all of the super important.

"... So, every time I'm around him I just get these wonderful butterflies. Do you think that happens to him, too?" Riley's voice breaks me from my thoughts for the 3rd time in 5 minutes.

"What? Oh, um yeah." I stutter barely hearing what she said.

"You're not listening. Are you, love?" She smirks. Ugh, her and Drew have that same exact smirk. Well they're twins. But still.

"Not exactly." I shrug slightly embarrassed.

"Hm." She nods and soon we get out of the car. I see Sydney smiling at some guy I've never seen. She spots us and her smile disappears and transforms into a small pout. I roll my eyes and Riley leaves me to go to her first class. I walk past Sydney and she lightly grasps my arm.

"What?!" I spit.

"Can we talk?" She softly asks her pale blue eyes begging me silently. I nod and reluctantly follow her to the side of the building.

"About Drew. I forced him." She looks down and bites her lip.

"Huh? How exactly do you force him?" I ask attitude laced in my voice.

"I picked him up after the lads left him there. I took him to my place without him knowing and I forced him."

"Why?"

"I still miss him. And I admit I was a little jealous. You two have something we will never have."

"So, he didn't voluntarily sleep with you?"

"Exactly." She nods.

"Okay, thanks. For the tip." I fake a minuscule smile and walk away to my first class. I walk in and see Drew sitting there his chin resting on the palm of his hand and his elbow is on the desk. As I get a little closer I see his eyes are closed. He's sleeping. I find it adorable how his mouth is somewhat open and his chest is ever so slowly rising and falling. I pat his head and it falls on the desk. I laugh. The best part is, he doesn't wake up. I roll my eyes and smirk and go to my seat.

"Drew!" Our teacher yells at him. His head slowly rises from the desk and he sleepily yawns.

"Get some sleep at night and you won't have to sleep in my class." He snaps. Drew nods and struggles to keep his head up. Suddenly, an extremely tall guy walks in class. He's cute. No. Stop it. You've liked enough guys for your lifetime. Enough.

"Ah." Our teacher says when he sees new guy, "class this is Derek Hollings. He's from America." Ooh, yay!

"Say hello." The teacher instructs.

"Hi, Derek." The class simultaneously says rather monotone. Derek's eyes meet mine for a second and I notice he has almost translucent gray eyes. Pretty. It goes well with his light brown almost blonde hair. He's wearing a red pull over that says 'NY Football' and black skinny jeans with white vans. Nice eyes, unique hair, decent style. My kind of guy.

"Sit anywhere you'd like, Derek." The teacher smiles. He nods and has a quick glance around the room before he comes and sits on my left. I politely smile at him and he winks sexily at me. Hm. I blush and look to my right at Drew. He looks mad. I give him a confused glance and he darts his eyes from me to Derek back to me. I quirk my brow as if to say 'so'. He frowns telling me he doesn't like him. I tilt my head to basically say why. He straightens his back telling me he thinks he's obnoxious. I laugh silently and turn my attention back to Derek. He's already looking at me. He's so cute. Class ends and I sling my bag and wait for Derek. He finishes and smirks at me. I smile again. Drew taps my shoulder.
