It was a warm, sunny day in the pridelands. Everything was calm and peaceful. All the creatures grazed and played in peace as everyone had heard the news that the queen was due to have a cub any day now.
Out in the plains two lions walked together in the peace and silent. The male lion has a gold coat, amber eyes and a reddish mane. His mate has a light cream coat and sapphire blue eyes. They took small steps on their long walk the lioness wincing at every step. Her mate looked worried.
"Nala do you need to sit down all this walking isn't good for you" he protested. But his mate carried on walking without another word. Simba sighed and followed his wife.
"I wonder if it'll be a boy or a girl" Nala said out loud". Simba chuckled at his pregnant wife but nuzzled her. He looked deep into her sweet eyes trapped in the trance. Nala rolled her eyes and pushed Simba laughing. Simba was shocked by this but laughed too.
Nala stopped laughing and collapsed to the floor. Simba sprung to his feet
"Nala what's wrong" he asked worried whilst nuzzling his mate
"it's time Simba for the cub" she screamed. Simba was shocked he didn't now what to do then he fainted of shock.
A group of passing gazelles realized what was happening and rushed over to help their queen give birth
