your soulmate
comes from letting them go
or letting them down
losing them in a way where
you were at fault.

i gave you my everything
even when i thought i had nothing to give
i would've crossed the god damn ocean for you,
because you were the one
that made it feel like there was
no distance at all.
i was the one that
never gave up,
always gave in to you
answered your midnight calls
even when i hadn't heard from you in a week.
i tried my fucking best,
because you were my everything.
you were the one. but i was never
yours.
