Bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish. How many pieces do you wish? I wish to get out of this wretched classroom.

Charlotte lazily looked to the front of the classroom, chewing her bubblegumobnoxiously. Of course her classmates told her to shut up occasionally but she only responded with a big pink bubble.

"Miss Bradford! Spit that out this instance." The "old bag" known as Mrs. Heath yelled anxiously. She'd been trying to teach her lesson on Literature for twenty minutes. Trying to ignore Charlotte.

"Did ya pay for it, Mrs. Heath? Alright then." Charlotte sighed. They went through this almost every day. She often wondered, when will everyone learn to accept that I will always have my way?

Jeffrey, the little curly haired boy sitting to her right, tapped her elbow. "Hey, Char. Can I ask--"

"Ugh don't call me that!" She said rather loudly.

"Jeez I'm sorry. I just wanted to know if... you'd like to go to homecoming with me? I-i've already bought tickets... I'm not forcing or anything...but I'd really like you to be my...erm...my date?" He looked at her with big, hopeful brown eyes.

"Oh Jeffrey, dear." She looked at him with delight in her eyes as well, holding her gum for the first time all period. "You know how I hate stuttering. Request denied." She flipped her black hair in his direction.

"Charlotte, Charlotte!" She didn't bother looking to see who was calling her. She recognized the meek voice immediately. "Charlotte are you going to homecoming? Did you say yes? To Jeffrey I mean!"

"Please catch your breath." Charlotte groaned. "No. Of course I didn't say yes to that sniveling child."

"Oh but why? Jeffrey's such a nice boy. I hope you weren't mean to him."

"Baby, I was rotten." She smirked, enjoying Caroline's irate expression. "You've known me since the third grade and you don't you what I like by now? Honestly pathetic. He's much too young for my tastes."

"Give me a break Char. You're practically the same age."

"Do not call me that, Caroline. You know how much I despise that name." She spun on her heel, allowing her sundress to fly. "I'll meet you in the cafe."

"It's cafeteria, Char!" Caroline smiled as her best friend got further from her.

"God you're bland."

Hiiii guys. I know this chapter is really short but I just wanted to test the waters. For the record this book is purely fictional and I do noooot endorse pedophilia (or...that word used for adults that like teen girls between 13-17) 💖✨
