Flashback

"Dad!" I yell down the hall from my bed.
"Daaaad!" I yell again. I was waiting in my bed for my dad to tuck me into bed I know me being 16 and all that I may sound too old but we've been doing this since I was little he would come in and turn off the light and bring the dog in bed with me, now it's just routine.
"Faaaaathhheerrrrr" I dramatically sigh, I still get no response. I climb out of my bed and as I walk to my kitchen expecting him to be there I'm caught off guard by the sound of my dog going crazing outside, normally he's okay, he could be outside for 2 hours and be okay he loves the out side but he was crying and barking bloody murder, so I ran as fast as I could to the door, I threw open the door and he bolted in, he wiggles uncontrollably so it was hard to take off his leash, but as soon as I did he bolted to where I assumed the kitchen to get a treat. I followed him hoping just to get a treat to give to the dog and find my dad well I did find my dad ... but not how I wished to . He was facedown on the ground I don't think anything of it because he has sleeping problems and he can fall asleep anywhere but then I saw brown liquid which later I found out was puke. The treat totally forgotten about I went to wake my dad up he didn't even stir, At first I wasn't scared because it's hard to wake him up he's a heavy sleeper , but after a couple more failed attempts at waking him up my mom walked up next to me , may I remind you she was sleeping and just woke up out of now where  we all felt something bad was happening I looked at her
"He's not waking up," after those four words everything broke out into chaos.
"He Overdosed" my mom whispered
My mom started CPR and I just sat back and watched for about 5 seconds in to much to say or do anything then the adrenaline kicked in.
"What do I do?" I asked in a semi panic, I knew I needed to stay calm for her
"Call 911," she said in the middle of CPR, I ran to my room and grabbed my phone and dialed 911, all I remember saying was I needed an ambulance and I gave her my address I didn't really know what to say, I mean it's not everyday you call 911. I was calm until she asked what happened with my dad I told her we think he over dosed but the. My mom cut in and told me it could have been heroine, she then asked me if my dad was breathing, then I broke I collapsed and cried she tried to get me to calm down but I couldn't , she stayed on the phone with me until the cops arrived . As soon as she hung up I went to my room and cried my dog followed me . It was in that moment I realized my dog was trying to alert me to my father. Cops kept coming in and out of my room asking me questions, I just wanted to be left alone . They took him to the hospital, I didn't want to go but my mom did so she went and I stayed with my grandmother as I left I remember seeing the syringe that was filled with the filthy heroine . I remember not being able to sleep but before I went to sleep I texted my most trusted friend about the situation. I put my phone up and I went to bed. When I awoke in the morning I went for my phone to see if my friend texted me back and I couldn't find my phone ... I ran out in the kitchen prepared to yell at whoever took my phone when I stopped in my tracks to see most of my family in the kitchen, I didn't even have to how my dad was I knew the answer
"He loves you so very much baby" My Moms broken voice said to me. I couldn't speak the devil had a vice grip around my throat cloaking all my words. I turned around and walked away from them, slammed my grandmas door shut, went to my bed, and cried 2 seconds of crying my door opened and soon enough every single family member that was here flooded there way into here and comforted me and that's how it was the rest of the day , crying and lots of family members

Present day
I peered into the casket that held  my fathers body. He doesn't look like his usual self, they forced a smile on his face but that's not how he smiles, he smile with teeth. People keep coming up to me and telling me I'm sorry for your loss. God I'm so sick of hearing that. I get it. You feel sorry for me but I don't want your pity. I just want my dad back, can your sorry's bring him back? No! I didn't think so. Can't I just grieve with out having to hear that , for the love of Jesus if I have to hear that one more time ...
"Hey Elle I'm so sorry for your loss," Well there goes my sanity ; I look to where the voice is coming from and find a complete stranger, I don't even know half of these people. Why the hell are you here , if you aren't family , you aren't welcome.
"Yeah, me too " What do they expect how am I supposed to respond to that?
"You remember me right hun, I used to baby sit you when you where two ?" Yes because a two year old had an amazing memory.
"Oh yeah, hey " I lied, because if I say I don't know her she will just keep going on and on about how I used to always be over there and I really should remember her then she will pull out their picture and honestly I just want to be left alone .
"How are you doing" Did she really just ask that, my dad just died I'm terrible.
"I'm ok , I'm getting there" Again lie because if I say I'm not ok we will go into this big discussion about how she will be there for me and blah blah blah. Honestly I'm not a mean person just right now I want to be alone and people keep getting in the way. I pulled my phone out and after it dinged  opening a message from my friend texted me telling me she just got here I excused myself from that conversation and met her at the front doors.
