Faithful Night

A howl in the night

Gave the young cub a scare

The birds all took flight

The young cub could only stare

Moon never did shine so bright

Only on this one faithful night

Did the young cub wish he could take flight

Alone as he may be

The cub stared off into the sea

The years go by and the cub grows older

And with time he also grew bolder

Running along a clifftop ever so high

The wolf with all his might wanted to fly

Atop the cliff the wolf stared down

Taking one last look around

He never made friends

He was always alone

His dream to fly no one comprehends

Even when it was hard he never did groan

Taking one last look at the forest

The wolf turned away and stared at the moon

Where he felt the warmest

Up there he would be immune

No disease or sadness

The wolf would be happy

The world has turned to madness

On earth he only ever felt crappy

The wolf started to walk back

Everything but the moon was only ever cover in black

The wolf turned around and ran

And jumped from the cliff as hard as he can

He was close to the moon but knew he wouldn't make it

But the wolf would rather die than just sit back and take it.
