I stood watching my reflection in the full length mirror as I ran my hands through my caramel-brown hair. I was in a light blue cardigan with a white blouse and white jeans. I had on dark blue high heels and they still didn't make me taller. I am 5'3". With the heels, I am 5'6". Still too short for my liking. I had my hair pulled back in a waterfall braid and had curled the ends.
"Keke! The taxi's here." My mom yelled. My name is Keagan Kelly Murphy. But my friends and family call me Keke (Keagan Kelly). I have it on my Instagram account. I am kinda famous. I am a dancer and a YouTuber. I have 7.5 million subscribers and I am so thankful for each of them. I have 8 million followers on Instagram (my public). I have an Instagram for friends and family then one for fans. "Keke!" Oh. Mom.
"Be right down." I took one more glance at me outfit and decided that it was fine. I grabbed my suitcase. I turned 17 8 months ago and as a present my mom let me go to England to live with my Uncle. He of course said yes and I am going to live with him from May-August.
I went downstairs and saw my mom. When she looked up, I noticed tears in her eyes. "Aw, my baby's all grown up." She ran, well quickly walked, toward me and embraced me in a hug. "Julie, Keke is fine she'll be back in 4 months." My father said. I mouthed a quick thank you to him and finished the hug with a pat on my mom's back. I gave a quick hug to my dad, but before I could leave, he whispered, " Don't forget: NO boys!" I laughed and realized that I, too, was crying. I carried out my two suitcases and handed them to the taxi driver with a polite nod. He smiled and opened the door for me.
Time Skip
I arrived at the gate with one minute to spare and sighed knowing that I wouldn't be able to buy any a drink or some food before the flight. I walked into the plane once my seat was called. I had lots of leg room considering I was in the first it row of first class. After about ten minutes, the five seats around me still hadn't filled up.
I stopped the next flight attendant and asked why it was taking so long, not considering the 5 empty seats. She replied, "There are 5 passengers that got delayed with the flight before. They are walking towards the gate as we speak." I thanked her and rolled my eyes. I hate when people are late. Granted, I was almost late. Almost.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. I regret to be the one to inform you but it seems that 5 passengers got delayed. Their flight before was delayed 45 minutes. They are currently getting to our gate and we will take off in about 15 minutes. Again, sorry for the delay. Take off will be shortly."
I heard people behind me groan and smirked to myself. I took out my phone and started playing Flappy Bird. I was trying to beat my high score of 25. I looked up and saw 5 men with hoods and sunglasses on. They must be the late passengers, I thought. I rolled my eyes again. Of course, they have to be sitting next to me. The tallest and shortest of the group sat next to me. The smallest first.
"Attention. If I could have your attention please. We will now demonstrate the emergency procedures in case anything were to happen." The captain spoke overthrow PA system.
"Ugh, nothing better happen. Thousands, no millions of people would miss me." Said the short guy next to me, chuckling. I turned to face him and realized who he was. Louis Tomlinson! From One Direction. After, I got over my mini fan girl attack, I scoffed. I thought he was supposed to be nice.
His ears perked up at the sound of my scoff. "You must not know me. I'm kinda famous. Who...?" He stopped mid-sentence and looked me up and down. "Who might you be, beautiful?"
Harry, Ahhh THE Harry Styles, smirked but then smacked Louis' arm. He smiled at me and said, "Hi, I'm Harry. Remember that you'll be screaming it later." He added with a wink. I rolled my eyes for what seemed to be the millionth time today, turned to the window on my left and plugged in my ear buds. Who knew celebrities were such jackasses. Wait. I'm technically a celebrity. Oh well. The plane started moving. It started going faster and faster and got bumpier and bumpier. Then suddenly my stomach dropped and I felt the feeling of weightlessness. I absolutely hate plane rides. The thought of putting your trust into a person whose name you don't even know is sickening.
Once the plane leveled out, the Captain came back over the PA system. "Hello again. We have reached a cruising altitude 27,500 ft. Our flight is scheduled to arrive in 17 hours in London, England. We have a long flight ahead so sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight."
"Great! 17 hours to make it up to you." Louis stated with that ridiculous smirk that made me use every muscle to not slap it off his face. "Great! 17 hours stuck with you." I said, sarcasm dripping from my words like venom.
"Feisty. I like it. So ..." "So...?" I continued. "What's your name beautiful?" Harry smirked. I could never understand why people actually liked him. What a total di--"You gonna tell me?" "Keagan." I answered. "Keagan." He said, trying it out. "Yeah, yeah. Don't wear it out."
"So Keagan, could we put it behind us?" "What?" I asked. "Oh. You mean the time you acted like a complete prick?" "Uh Yeah." he said with a chuckle. "That time." "No." "Please," Louis begged, making the puppy-dog eyes. "Fine." I am going to be here with them for 17 hours. Might as well be nice. "Yeah. Might as well." Harry repeated. "I said that out loud?!" "Um yeah?" Harry said looking worriedly at Louis, who was giving him a glare.
"So..." Louis began, "wanna play 20 questions with us? Me and Harry will share 10 and you can have ten of your own." "OK. Sure" I turned to them giving them my full attention. "Question numero uno: What's your full name?" "Keagan Kelly Murphy but my friends call me Keke (key-key). What were the names for the band before you decided on One Direction?"
"Our friend and band-mate, Liam, tried to call the band USP. Unique-Selling-Point." Harry responded. "What do you do for a living?"
"I'm a Youtuber. I have 7.5 million subscribers and yeah ... that's my job." I said. "What were your jobs before 1D?'
"I was a baker and Louis worked as a retail salesman." Harry responded. Louis gave him a glare at the word baker. Breaking their staring contest, Louis asked, "When did you start your YouTube channel?"
"When I was 15, I uploaded my first video about bullying, then it grew to be covers, funny videos, dance, challenges, and behind the scenes of modeling photo shoots." I replied. "What is your least favorite thing about One Direction?"
"The photo shoots." "Are they kinetic or static?" I asked. It was like second nature for me to ask. "Are they what?!" "Kinetic photo shoots are when you can move, like jump on a trampoline or walk around while static are just posing and taking a photo." I responded, static was the answer.
After a round of questions, they learned:
1) I had two accounts on social media, one for fans and one for family and close friends.
2) I have a brother in the Army.
3) I lived in California all my life and I am just now moving to England to stay with my Uncle.
4) I started in a TV show for 4 seasons. Until, I got kidnapped and I was 'never found'. (It was the police chief.)
5) I started dancing when I was 8 years old and have gained a fan-base for it ever since.
6) My birthday is March 5, 1996, and I'm 18 years old. (It's 2014.)
7) I have 5 main best friends, Winter, Marie, Rebecca, Clare, and Meagan.
I learned Louis has spotless white converse because their new, not because he likes to keep them clean.
I yawned and Harry asked me if I was tired. Halfway through answering 'no' I yawned and Louis chuckled. He patted left shoulder and told me to go to sleep. I laid my head down and almost instantly fell asleep.
