Lisa woke up to the screeching sound of her alarm. She opened one eye to see the time. 7:00! Her other eye snapped open. "I'm late!" she thought, and jumped out of bed. She threw her cloths on quickly, and ran out the door. She didn't eat cereal, she didn't grab her lunch, and she didn't notice her mismatched socks or shoes. Despite her speed, the bus was already past her house. As she ran behind it, she could see the kids in the back laughing and pointing. It made her angry, and all she wanted was to catch that bus so she could. Just then, she felt her feet lifting off the ground. She was floating into the air. The kids at the back of the bus stopped laughing, and their mouths fell open. Lisa couldn't believe what was happening. "I'm still in bed." she thought. "This has to be a dream." The kids ran to the front of the bus to tell the driver. "Please let me get down." she thought. She felt wind rush up her face as her feet came back to the ground. At the same time the bus came to a stop.

The bus driver came running out of the bus. "How long were you running after the bus?" she said. "I wasn't really running." she said with a confused face. The bus driver also confused follow Lisa on to the bus. The kids at the back of the bus were staring at her still in shock. She glared at them, and they looked away. "everyone sit down please!" the bus driver yelled "and no more joking around!" Lisa quickly sat in an empty seat. She was still very confused. "What was that?" she thought. The bus arrived at school, and Lisa quickly made her way to class. She could see the other kids staring, and whispering in each others ears. She knew things would get much worse come lunch time. She thought "I wish I was invisible." The teacher turned around to ask who knew the answer. Where did Lisa go? She asked. Lisa's eyebrows rose, and she slowly raised her hand. "She knows to ask before going to the restroom." the teacher told the class. Lisa thought she must be playing a joke. Lisa was sitting in her desk. "I'm right here." She thought with her hand still in the air. The teacher was looking right at her with an angry look on her face. "look, i'm right here." she thought. The teacher's eyes widened, and she blinked wildly. "Lisa? How long have you been there? she said confused. "The whole time." Lisa replied quietly. "Oh!" the teacher said surprised "you must of dropped your pencil." She grabbed her glasses off the desk, put them on, and went back to writing on the chalk board. The children began whispering again, and Lisa sank deep into her chair.

When the bell rang for lunch,  Lisa's heart began to pound. She was still sitting at her desk  when the teacher said "off to lunch Lisa." "Yes ma'am." she said sadly. She walked slowly toward the big double  doors of the cafeteria. Her heart was pounding so hard she could feel it pressing against her notebook. She realized she forgot her lunch today, and went to turn around. "Lisa where is your lunch" her teacher said as she turned her around. "I forgot it" Lisa muttered. "Oh, you can have some of mine" The teacher walked her through the double doors. The loud cafeteria suddenly got quiet, and it seemed every kid was staring at her. "I hope you like peanut butter and jelly" The teacher said as she handed Lisa half a sandwich. Lisa walked slowly through the middle of the silent cafeteria. Her heart felt like it was going to jump from her chest. Her legs felt weak as she walked slowly looking at the ground. She was almost to an empty table when she heard "WEIRDO!" The quiet cafeteria suddenly roared with laughter. She looked up to see the children laughing and pointing. She couldn't even hear the teachers telling them to quiet down. Anger boiled up inside her heart, and spread throughout her whole body. Lisa screamed "BE QUIET!" The sound echoed as the cafeteria went silent in an instant. She looked around to see everyone confused. Their mouths were moving, but nothing was coming out. She could see some of the children begin to cry, but still nothing came out. Lisa didn't like it, she ran out through the double doors. She didn't stop running till she was half way home.

"Lisa open the door!" Her father shouted as he banged on her bedroom door. "I received a call from your school that you've been expelled." Lisa was crying into her pillow. "The school wouldn't explain what you did." "Come out here and explain your self." "I'll tell you tomorrow, just leave me alone right now!" Lisa yelled back. "Alright Lisa, but we're going to have to move now." "There are no other schools close by." "I thought this weird stuff was over when your mother died." She heard him walk to his room and slam the door. Lisa continued to cry into her pillow. Her head hurt from all the questions. How was she able to fly, turn invisible, or quiet everyone? What did her father mean about her mother being  weird? "Tomorrow will be better" she thought. "How could it get any worse?"
