The first lesson

Veritys p.o.v

I looked at the clock on my bedside table,  10 minutes untill my first class, I got up and went to the door,  I took a deep breath,  contain all anger, don't use your power on the students nor the teachers,  I opened the door and walked down the stairs, "ok which way now?" I mumbled to myself,  right or left? oh well, I went left and walked down that way "uhh...Verity right? I think your going the wrong way" a voice told me from behind, I spun around to see a guy with blue eyes and brown hair "I'm Kurt wagner aka night crawler, I'm a drama teacher here and the art rooms are that way" he told me while pointing in the opposite direction "uhhhhhh..... thanks Kurt" I smiled,  he laughed "any time Verity" he smiled before he continued walking away, I walked in the right direction, my steps got quicker as I relized I was late, I burst though the door, everyones eyes were on me, I took a deep breath and walked to the front "sorry I'm late, I'm new here and this place is pretty big.....anyway I'm miss Rose aka Aqualia and welcome to art class" I said while writing my name on the bored, I turned around to face the class who were sat there, staring "sooo, do you have any books or.....what" I asked them, a girl with short brown hair got up and grabbed some books "here miss, would you like me to hand them out?" she asked, I smiled "yes please, and you are?" I asked her, she began handing out books "I'm hope Abbott" she told me, I nodded and Waited for her to sit down again "ok so what now miss?" a boy asked from the front table, he had brown eyes and black hair, I looked at his book, his name was Gabriel Cohuelo "well Gabriel,  what were you working on?" I asked, he opened his book and looked though,  "sculptures" he replied,  I had an idea "someone get me some water please" I asked them, a girl with red hair and blue eyes got up, she filled a cup and brought it to my desk " I'm Laurie Tomette" she told me then sat down, I held my hand over the cup and the water floated into the air, I made a pattern "ok, class please draw the shape the water is in" I smiled,  they all picked up their pencils and began to draw....

*1 hour later*

Veritys p.o.v

the bell rang, "ok kids pack up" I smiled,  I kwow they arnt kids but still, I out the water back in the cup,  I went round as they left , looking at the drawings, I picked up Gabriels "waite, Gabriel,  this is really good, well done " I said before he left, he looked at me and smiled "thanks miss" he said before leaving, I smiled while packing away their books "so how was your first class?" a males voice asked, I spun around to see Logan stood in the door way "oh hi, um it was good actually,  much better than I expected " I smiled while putting the books back where Hope had found them "Good, now don't forget your in my class today" he told me, I nodded "I know, I have the time table on my wall" I told him, he smiled "ok just checking" he laughed,  I giggled "uhh.... logan what dose one do in a free period? " I asked him "you can do whatever you want, mess around, stay in your room, relax........watch another teachers lesson. ....." he told me I smiled "ok thanks, I might have a look around, if I'm near by I will drop into your lesson" I told him, he smiled "just to add abit of pressure for you" I laughed,  he laughed to "sure, it would be great to show you what I ........ I mean what the students can do" he told me, I nodded "it would be nice to see them in action" I smiled,  he nodded "ok well I'm off, I will see you later?" he asked "possibly" I nodded "ok bye" he called before walking away "byee" I caled after him, I don't see why I shouldn't drop into his lesson.

Rogues p.o.v

I walked out into the gardens and took in a deep breath,  the air was so fresh,  like new life, like what most of the teachers and students here needed and most likely what the wanted,  I took a seat on a wooden bench near by, this is where I would sit sometimes and think what it would be like to be normal, I couldn't have any skin to skin contact with anyone,  no one ever wanted to hug me or be with me, I sighed,  I wish I was normal,  I put my head inmy hands "Are....you ok?" a voice said, I looked up to see Verity stood by the other end of the bench "I'm fine" I nodded "what are you thinking about" she asked while taking a seat "what it would like to be normal,  I just wish I was normal" I told her, she sighed "don't we all?" she asked me, I nodded " I guess so" I smiled,  she got back up " anyway I'm off, talk to you later" she smiled before walking away, I waved after her and then sighed again, why cant we all just be normal?

Logan's p.o.v

"ok kids, come on now settle down" I called across the room, they all stopped and looked at me "ok so today, we are learning........well.......fighting" I laughed,  the all nodded,  "ok now if your faced with an opponent and your only way is to fight them then ........" I began when I was inturupted by Verity "ahhhh miss verity Rose, come in" I called at her, she walked over to me "would you like you help me with a demonstration?" I asked her she shrugged and then nodded "ok I will try not to hurt you, just dodge as best as you can" I smirked,  she smerked back "I will do my best" she told me, my claws shot out and I swiped three times at her head, she leant back so she was almost on the floor she then bounced back and began to throw punches at me, I managed  to dodge,  I swiped at her feet and she did a cartwheel to get away, once she stood up she kicked my cheak,  I swiped at her waist and she didn't dodge in time and I caught her waist, ripping her t-shirt and her skin, "I'm so sorr....." I couldn't finish my sentence before I was soaked head to toe with water " she laughed at me, I raised my eyebrows as the students began to laugh "ok you had a verry good  demonstration, now its your turn, pick a partner and get started" I told them, they did as asked, I turned around to face  Verity who was holding her side, I walked over to her while retracting my claws "here, let me see" I said to her, she removed her hand and showed the wound to me, I placed my hand on it "this may hurt alittle" I told her while healing the wound,  I heard her hold her breath,  after a minute the wound was gone "thanks" she smiled "your welcome" I replied, I looked into her eyes "I'm really sorry,  butni have to cancel our one on one combat lesson" I told her, she nodded " thats fine by me, I'm really tired anyway" she smiled,  I nodded "thats understandable since it is your first day and everything" I smiled at her, she nodded "yes its been a verry busy day for me" she sighed,  I wonder what her story is, I wonder whats shes been though,  I went to ask her but the bell rand I clapped my hands together "ok, well done you all worked hard today, I will see you  all tomorrow " i said as they left, they all said goodbye to me and were off to lunch,  I turned round to Verity who was gone, where?  I didn't see her leave?  "looking for someone,?" her voice came from behind me, I spun around in confusion "but....what?.....how?" I mumbled,  she shrugged "I'm just sneaky like that" she giggled,  I chuckled at her "yes that was verry sneaky" I said as we left the room, we walked to the lunch hall together "I know, I am" she smiled,  "I guess I will have to watch my back huh" I smerked,  "I guess you will" she smerked back....

*9 pm*

Veritys p.o.v

I closed my door and walked into my bathroom,  I cleaned my teeth and got changed in to a pair of night shorts and a baggy black top, I stared out the window again to see such open space,  it was beautiful but..... I feel so lonely,  even though I'm surrounded by people......well mutants? and I feel so trapped even though I have my own free will? I sighed and turned out the light,  I got into my bed and lead my head on the soft pillow,  I closed my eyes, try and get a goodnight sleep, your going to need it.
