The bright sunshine shined through my curtains and into my eyes as I woke up from my slumber.

My eyes were heavy as I began to rub the sleep out of them.

Silence.

Silence is all I heard as I got up from my comforting bed and to my closet to get dressed for the day.

I picked out a creme colored sweater with Mickey Mouse ears on it and black skinny jeans.

I pulled the clothing off the hangers and walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair.

I pulled the soft knit sweater over my head and buttoned my jeans and began to pull my hair up into a high pony tail.

I sighed as I looked at myself in the mirror. Why did my dad have to die? Why couldn't I have died, no one wants me here anyways.

I held back the tears that were forced to my eyes and walked out of the bathroom. I grabbed my phone and texted my best friend, Kirstie.

Kirstie was hard of hearing but not deaf. The doctor said she could become deaf so told her to learn how to sign in case she did.

We met at my school for deaf kids, deafies as we call ourselves. She was the outsider so we quickly became friends.

Hey do you want to hang out today? I'm bored and have nothing to do.

I locked my phone and set it on my lap as I felt it buzz.

Sure be there in five.

I sighed and left the conversation at that. I scrolled through my Instagram and liked a few photos until I came to one of Cameron's.

It was a picture of him and his friends from the MAGCON tour doing silly poses at the camera. The caption had a few emojis of suns and sunglasses and stuff like that.

I was brought back to reality when I saw the doorbell ring. Well when the doorbell rings I have a light in my room that flashes so I know.

I grabbed my phone and a small over the shoulder bag with my stuff in it and quickly made my way downstairs.

(The lines with these < > means they are signing.)

I opened the door and smiled as I saw Kirstie standing on the porch.

I waved my hand infront of her face to get her attention and waved.

< Hey girl, ready > I signed.

She nodded and smiled showing her perfectly white teeth.

Oh how I envied her.

She had cherry red hair and tanned skin with deep blue eyes. She had an amazing body and I just wish I was lie her, maybe people would like me better...

We walked over to her car and drove to the mall.

We did some shopping at Forever 21 and places like that until it was beginning to get around the time we have lunch.

I tapped Kirstie's shoulder.

<. We should get something to eat I'm hungry>

I signed.

<ok what would you like to eat? > she signed back.

<How about Panda Express? >

< sounds good.>

We walked over to the line as I pulled out my phone and typed in my order. I prefer not to speak when ordering my food cause I'm not very fond of the looks I receive.

We got to the front of the line an I showed the girl my order as we as we went down the line. I got a vitamin water and sat down in the food court waiting for Kirstie to get her food.

As I pulled out the metal chair I hit someone's arm causing them to drop their drink.

'Fuck.' I thought as I turned around to see who I hit.

He was wearing a black SnapBack and black skinny jeans with a red tank top.

< I am so sorry I didn't mean to hit your arm want me to buy you a new one?>

I quickly signed.

The guy looked at me like I was crazy.

I cleared my throat as I felt my throat vibrate.

Matt's POV

"I'm gonna throw this away real quick, be right back." I said as I pulled back my chair and walked towards the trash.

A girl with light brown hair pulled back her chair hitting my arm causing me to drop my half empty drink, spilling.

She turned around and began to move her hands quickly as if trying to communicate with me.

I furrowed my eyebrows as she finished her 'rant'.

She sighed and cleared her throat before speaking.

"I am so sorry." she looked at the ground as if she was embarrassed.

Her accent was strange, it was cool.

I tapped her shoulder causing her to look at me.

"You have a cool accent, where are you from?" I asked.

She looked slightly offended before shaking her head.

She pulled her phone from her pocket and typed something before showing it to me.

'I'm from the US and I dog have an accent, I think, I'm deaf.'

I looked at her as she pointed to her hearing aid.

"Oh, I'm sorry if I offended you." She shook her head and ever her hand as if saying no problem.

"We should hang out sometime, here let me give you my number." I noticed while I was talking she was staring intently at my lips, like she was reading them.

She nodded and me her phone. I put my number into it and handed it back.

"Nice meeting you." I said kissing her hand before walking off.

Well that was eventful.
