Your lilac hair swayed,
And unto me was the beauty of you,
And unto you was the sadness of me.We crossed our pinkies
And promised to nothing;
We were much too foolish then.But before you left,
Your eyes took on the world,
And you said words I could never deem.Then when your presence was no longer available,
Everything decayed,
And the earth exhaled with disappointment.But when you return and the moon is bright again,
We'll cross pinkies once more;
But until then:
Goodbye.
