Escape the fire nation

(Lin's pov)

'I don't see why mom has to fuss so much about going beyond the forest, they're so much pretty things out there.' I thought flying back to the hideout. Upon my arrival, I was meet with Fire Nation soldiers.
'What have I done.' 'I knew going beyond the forest was an bad idea.' I thought. Landing, a group of Fire Nation soldiers started to surround me.
Getting into my bending stance, a gush of wind suddenly blew the soldiers away. Looking at the direction the gush of wind came from, my mom was standing there with one hand outstretched while leaning on her glider. Burns were clearly seen on her clothes and some on her stomach, arms and check. "M-mom, I-I didn't mean to go beyond the forest." I stuttered running to my mom with tears falling.
"Lin watch out." My mom shouted out. Turning around, it felt as if time had slowed down. Watching as the flame was getting closer and closer to me by the second. Lifting my hands up to try and block the flames from hitting my face, something unbelievable happened, a wall of earth was formed, blocking the fire.
Growling was then heard from above. "Lola, down here." My mom shouted out to my flying bison. Looking around more Fire Nation soldiers surrounded both me and my mother. " Get the girl, she's the Avatar." One of the soldiers shouted out. Getting back into my bending stance and started to bend the air around me to create a miniature tornado pushing towards the soldiers who deflected it with their fire. 'Ok, I see, only if I could waterbend.' I thought looking around for any water. 'If I could at least earthbend why not see if I could do the others.
"Lin get behind me." Mother shouted, to which I obliged. "Lin, it isn't your fault that they found us." "They found us on their own, so stop blaming yourself about it." Mother ushered me. Then Lola flew down separating us from the soldiers. Lifting me up, my mom airbended the both of us onto Lola. Jumping of Lola, mom began airbending against the fire benders. Then Lola began flying away dodging the incoming fire balls. "Lola we need to turn around and get mom." I screamed my voice cracking as tears started falling down my cheeks feeling a lump in my throat.

"Mooooooom!!!!!"

Hi again, I know this is short but don't worry the further up the chapters, the more I will right, this is just the beginning, so again don't worry.
