The crunching became louder, and louder the more pressure there was. Being smushed into multiple pieces, spreading anywhere it could, even in the nooks and crannies. The debris was pushed down, and when it disappeared, more went in to be demolished. The liquidy goodness of the milk and the sweetness of the cereal filled my mouth, filling me up with every gulp.

"Hah, good thing cereal can't feel anything! It would have been painful if it could live! Or can it..." I thought to myself, continuing to chew my cereal.

I was excited to have got the opportunity to eat cereal for breakfast on such a day. As crazy as it might sound, simple foods like this were luxuries to me. I appreciate everything that me and my family have, even something like cereal.

I felt something large and warm land on my head, startling me to the point of me almost choking on my breakfast. I let out an almost silent cough to get any milk down my throat without drawing me towards death.

"Good morning, sis!" Exclaimed a deep voice coming from up above. So, he's the reason that happened? What a fruit cake...

"Rinto!" I yelled, sounding as squeaky as a mouse. "Do you realize what you almost did to me? I could've died, and we don't have money for a funeral, or any type of medical bills!" Screaming, pieces of my last bite of cereal flying on his shirt.

"Hey, Rin, no need to freak out! Chill! You're over thinking this!" Smiled my brother, letting out a nervous chuckle. I rolled my eyes, seeing him sweep off any crumbs that were on his shirt. Speaking of which, I started examining that clothing article on him. He wasn't even in school uniform! And it looks like he's been awake! Why couldn't he change? Why not ask him~

"So...what's with the little get up you got going there? How unprofessional, Mr, Junior~! Seeing as it's...hmm what's the time?" I playfully sang, checking my phone's home screen in the process. The bright device read, "7:24"

"Uh-oh~! Seems like someone has 6 minutes to get ready, since the walk from school is 25 minutes, and school starts at 8:30, we need time to check our class, and get to know our classmates! I'm sure with the time spent on our conversation, you have only 5 minutes left! What an unfortunate outcome!" With a sarcastic and witty tone, I was able to make a fool out of my airhead brother once again! Case closed!

"Says the once who wears a school uniform while eating. That thing could get dirty and...whoops~ Little Miss Clever here would make a fool out of herself on the first day of school!" He shot back an insult, running back up the stairs so he wouldn't be insulted once more.

"Crap, I guess he's right...I guess I've learned my lesson for tomorrow's morning. Breakfast before changing my clothes."

I scurried up to the second floor, heading to our bathroom to brush my teeth, only to find it locked, illumination spilling from the bottom crack of the door. I banged on the closed off room, hoping my mother was in there. But then I remembered...

She's at work.

"RINTO!!!"

1-C.

Well, looks like this is my room for the year! I hope that's a good thing? I don't know what to expect actually...I would have to go there every single day, spend time with the classmates around me every single day. If I didn't like someone, I'd have to spend every single day with them. And if I made no friends...every single one of my days will be lonely... I hope that won't be the case...
